Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must have a current state RN license and an ASN degree from an accredited nursing school.
Qualifications:
Charge Experience: Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification from the American Heart Association is required
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years preferred
SPICE Certification: Required for Infection Control
DSD Certification: Must have education and training as a Director of Staff Development (DSD)
About the Unit:
This unit has 60 beds, with an average occupancy of 50 to 53 residents. We care for patients with diagnoses such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and those in need of short-term rehabilitation. Our primary focus is on geriatrics. Nurses will collaborate closely with the laboratory, rehabilitation, hospice, and psychiatric teams. Nurse shifts are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
