This includes making several rounds per shift to ensure proper care is being provided, talking with staff on resident improvement or decline. This also includes fully staffing, redirecting and coverages for all 4 units, monitoring staff administration of medications and charting of medications, oral, enteral, intramuscular, or intravenous on respective shift and ensuring resident care plans are followed. Monitors that all available employees answer call bells and conducts call-bell audits. Counsels and disciplines staff appropriately and re-trains and mentors to correct any inappropriate behaviors or procedures. Reviews resident's condition changes. Ensures physicians, families and administration are notified whenever necessary. Considers the interest of SAR in family complaints or emergency situations. Informs Personal Care Home Administrator and PC Nurse Manager of all incidents requiring transfer to the hospital. Makes rounds with physicians and ensures orders are obtained as needed and in conformance with established standards. Performs venipuncture and IV therapy as ordered by physician. This also includes fully staffing, redirecting and coverages for all 4 units, monitoring staff administration of medications and charting of medications, oral, enteral, intramuscular, or intravenous on respective shift and ensuring resident care plans are followed.
