The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties. Clinical Director of Perioperative Services at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown: The Clinical Director is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Director oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. Assists as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary. The Director identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. The Director establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Director identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Qualifications: * Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing. * Baccalaureate degree preferred. * Five (5) years' experience in surgery as circulator * Two (2) years' experience in surgery management which includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care. * Current Texas RN License- BLS * CNOR preferred- Independent decision-making skills. * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. * Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians What We Offer

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRegulatory & Accreditation Compliance Ensure all clinical operations comply with ACHC accreditation standards, CMS CoPs (42 CFR Part 418), and Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services requirements. Oversee staff adherence to agency policies, procedures, and clinical documentation standards. Lead preparation for ACHC, CMS, and state surveys, maintaining continuous readiness and full compliance. Develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with current federal, state, and local regulations. Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. Clinical Leadership Supervise and evaluate all nursing and clinical staff, including RN Case Managers, On-Call Nurses, Admission Nurses, and Hospice Aides. Facilitate Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings in compliance with CMS §418.56, ensuring individualized, holistic plans of care. Conduct supervisory visits and field audits to assess patient care quality and staff performance. Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios and ensure that nursing staff provide at least 51% of hands-on patient care, as required by CMS. Support a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous education. Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) Lead the QAPI Program, ensuring compliance with ACHC quality management and performance improvement requirements. Track and analyze clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction data, and incident trends to implement corrective and preventive actions. Partner with the Administrator and Medical Director to develop and monitor performance improvement goals and quality benchmarks. Community & Organizational Leadership Represent Unified Care Hospice in community and professional outreach, fostering positive relationships with healthcare partners. Collaborate with the CEO and Administrator in strategic planning, operations, and compliance initiatives. Provide mentorship, leadership development, and performance coaching to clinical staff. Participate in budget planning, contract review, and vendor relationship management to ensure operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (unencumbered). Minimum 2 years of experience providing direct patient care in home health or hospice. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice, home health, or a related healthcare setting. Working knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation (42 CFR Part 418) and Texas Administrative Code Title 40, Chapter 97. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of hospice leadership experience, preferably as a DCS, ADON, or Clinical Manager. Familiarity with ACHC accreditation standards, survey readiness processes, and QAPI management. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
