We are looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our robust team of 6 midwives and 2 Family Practice physicians.
At our Women’s Health Center in South Omaha, we care for a mostly Spanish-speaking Latina population that is low-risk and family-oriented. We provide patient-centered, full-scope midwifery and women’s health care across the lifecycle. As a midwife at OneWorld, you will work with an integrated Behavioral Health and Social Work team. We offer programs to assist with newborn items, car seats, and pack-and-plays, and incentives for patients to attend prenatal and postpartum appointments. We deliver at Creighton University/Bergan Mercy Medical Center with a back- up of collaborating and supportive physicians and OB/GYN residents. Hospital Nursing and administration are supportive and respectful of the midwifery model of care. Typically 25+ deliveries a month. Inpatient services include OB ED triage, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum care. 1.0 FTE weekly schedule will be 3 days in clinic, one 24 hour call without clinic duties, and one guaranteed post call day. Evening clinic options available. Rotating weekend, holiday, and PTO call coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 20 deliveries in the last 24 months required (to be eligible for privileges at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MN/MSN) from an accredited Midwifery program required.
- License to practice as an APRN-Certified Nurse Midwife in the state of Nebraska required. (Or license eligible.)
- Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) required.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish required. (Our midwives must be able to communicate with patients in Spanish, at an intermediate level at least, without the use of an interpreter.)
Our providers are eligible for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps. OneWorld has HPSA scores of 16 for primary care, 25 for dental, and 14 for mental health.

* Evaluates need for and ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests. Reviews and records laboratory results in prenatal record. Reviews and interprets laboratory results with client.
* Assesses need for referral to other healthcare providers.
