The MGB mobile health services is an innovative program dedicated to increasing access to quality healthcare for historically marginalized communities in the North Shore area. The Nurse Practitioner is an integral member of the team bringing these health care services which include cardiometabolic screening and treatment, substance use disorder screening and treatment, vaccinations, and social determinants of health screening and resources
The Mobile Clinical NPTM is an integral member of the mobile health team that is dedicated to increasing access to quality healthcare for vulnerable communities in the greater Boston area.
Mobile health services are specialized by "clinic" and provide primary care to patients of all ages including COVID-19 testing and vaccination, hypertension screening/treatment, and substance use disorder screening/treatment.
The Clinical NPTM is responsible for providing oversight and supervision of the clinical members of the mobile team (RN, MA, and others). The Clinical NPTM also provides direct patient care to patients of all ages.
Together with the Mobile Operations Manager, the Clinical NPTM manages 1-2 clinic sessions each Wednesday across various locations that require set-up, staff management, and patient service. Because each clinic session takes place in community locations with no immediate clinical back-up, it is vital that the Clinical NPTM is experienced and proficient at preventing or managing complex and/or emergency patient care problems for patients of all ages.
The Clinical NPTM will work closely with the Senior Medical Director, Medical Lead and the Mobile Operations Manager to develop and expand mobile health service offerings in the community. It will be important for the Clinical NPTM to have an interest in Community Health and be willing to explore new opportunities for providing service.
The Clinical NPTM reports directly to the Medical Lead for the mobile team
Clinical Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities:
1. Functions independently and uses EPIC to provide care for all patients seen by the mobile team.
