Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
Orders medications.

During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member's current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member's overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. Ensure Service Members (SMs) are medically cleared for Mobilization/Demobilization (MOB/DEMOB. This is a very dynamic section requiring excellent time management, critical thinking, flexibility, communication, and teamwork. The use of SOP's and published regulations are essential to succeeding in this environment.
Seeing SMs is top priority; wait time should be kept to a minimum.
Shall see an average of 4 to 6 patients per hour, (SRP) / 2 to 3 patients per hour and/or the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs in the Section, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control, which shall be reported to the Section OIC or designee.
Shall comply with all MTF productivity standards and maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to service members. Review medical histories and progress of service members. Examine service members, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat service member or prescribe a course of treatment.
Shall administer Health Risk Appraisal questionnaire.
Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
Follow-up on abnormal reports. Abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on service members seen by HCW shall be reviewed by the HCW at the time these reports are available for review. Each report shall be reviewed within one week of its receipt.
Prescribe medications, as appropriate, in accordance with the privileges and regulations.
Seek advice of consultants when appropriate.
Facilitate service member access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other HCWs in accordance with policies and regulations.
Prepare and document appropriate history physical examinations, and diagnosis. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with applicable
directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required. Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete.
Shall complete each outpatient encounter in MHS Genesis at the end of each day or within 24 hours and appropriately close the record.
Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate.
Advise the Medical Director of the clinic where contracted services are being provided of any problems encountered or anticipated in connection with meeting the needs of service members treated.
Continuing problems of any nature shall be reported by the Contractor in writing to the COR.
Attend and participate in service member care reports, service member care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is relative to his/her assigned cases and/or performance of contract services as determined by the COR or Department Chief.
Adhere to the Center for Disease Control guidelines always concerning universal precautions and the Infection Control Program while providing services under this contract.
Indicate responsibility for the contents and accuracy of all prepared reports/forms by signing all such documents/records.
Abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
Perform all duties in such a manner that they meet all Joint Commission standards.
Shall follow established government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols in the performance of duties as outlined in MTF policies and procedures.
Participate in the MTF Quality Assurance program as applicable to include performance of peer reviews.

Contract Description
Your services support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. Veterans are scheduled for appointments at contracted facilities for compensation and pension exams and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume.
The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health.
The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication.
Completed documentation is sent to the VA for final determination on all disability claims.
Prior to the exam, the practitioner reviews a Veteran's medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran's claimed condition.
The practitioner is guided through a web-based examination form in Client's Provider Portal to capture the Veteran's responses during the exam.
Electronic exam documentation is known as a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) and must be submitted promptly within 48 hours of each appointment.
The number of DBQs completed per exam will vary based on the Veteran's claimed conditions.
Administrative time is provided to complete exam documentation and ensure timely submission.
The documentation is reviewed by a team of medical professionals to ensure contract compliance and guarantee the verbiage aligns with customer requirements.
Requests for changes or corrections to exam documentation must be submitted within 48 hours of the appointment.
Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for Veterans.
The Practitioner will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form; all documentation will be completed electronically.
Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
General Medical take 45 minutes to several hours, depending on number of disabilities being claimed; Practitioner will be provided an approximate appointment length estimate for each scheduled exam, based on the Veteran's claim(s)
General Medical Exams:
Common exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory
Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby
Education/Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a master's degree in Nursing (NP) or successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant (PA) program.
Primary care experience is required. Qualified candidates must be actively licensed and able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Candidates must possess basic computer skills.
