The Opportunity:
The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients in concert with their primary care providers. What you'll be working on:
Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually
Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:
Completed an accredited FNP program with a national certification
In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+)
Currently licensed in CA with ability to obtain additional state licenses
Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday AND or Sunday required)
Current shifts range from (6am - 12am PST)

The base hourly range for this role is $59.10 to $65.50 per hour (plus evening and weekend differential) based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services (SHS), the NursePractitioner works in the context of a group practice that emphasizes patient engagement over high volume. The incumbent reviews and interprets patient history; performs physical examinations; orders and reviews tests; evaluates, plans, and provides primary care predominantly for college students with common illnesses, injuries, seeking contraceptive care, or needing health maintenance. The incumbent collaborates with and guides the actions of Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses and some ancillary staff. The incumbent consults with other providers (psychiatrists) as needed and when health problems or conditions are not covered by protocols. The NursePractitioner enables improvement of both individual and team effectiveness by supporting the development and implementation of sustainable practices and protocols that foster student success and reflect the best of college health.
Position Information
Patient Management Medical Duties
· Works independently according to guidelines and practices described in department approved protocols.
· Obtains detailed health histories and performs complete physical examinations using applicable clinical techniques and diagnostic tools.
· Documents working diagnoses, health care plans, disposition, referrals and prognoses in the electronic health record (EHR) or on paper when required, using the subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) format, problem lists and medication lists.
· Diagnoses common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
· Develops and implements treatment plans based on evaluation of patients' health histories, physical
examinations, and test results.
· Furnishes medications to patients according to supervising Physician's protocols and the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations.
· Instructs and counsels patients regarding family planning, health problems, preventative care and health maintenance.

· Orders, interprets and evaluates routine lab tests and other diagnostic tests and procedures including x-ray examinations.
· Performs simple Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-Waived tests including Urinalysis (U/A), Urine Pregnancy testing, Rapid Strep, Finger Stick Glucose, and Provider Performed Microscopy (PPM).
· Provides contraceptive counseling and surveillance for long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) insertion and removals.
· Assesses and treats gynecological issues (vaginitis, abnormal bleeding, breast conditions, etc.).
· Conducts well woman exams and provides sexually transmitted infection (STI) education, screening and treatment.
Clinic and Administrative Medical Duties
· Uses computers, including internet browser, email, Microsoft Office, EHR and the practice management software applications used at SHS.
· Stays current with EHR features and practical options for improved functionality.
· Supports development of remote and virtual services.
· Explores clinic practice options (e.g. Dashboard; Whiteboard), helping adoption and effective use.
· Maintains HIPAA standards.
· Helps communicate clinic IT needs to Director, Health Information Systems Analyst, and Leadership Team.
· Helps team to prepare for triennial and surprise surveys.
· Ensures consistent support for quality control and peer review program.
· Supports opportunities for synergistic work with Counseling & Psychological Services, SAFE Place, Health Promotion & Wellness, and other campus partners.
· Fosters appropriate, best comprehensive response for student, clinic, and campus; supports inclusive student engagement with health and wellness services.
· Cooperative working relationship with medical, nursing, medical assistants, clinical assistants, clerical and allied professional staff in SHS, as well as the community.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of advanced nursing and primary care principles, methods and procedures; thorough knowledge of medical theories, practices and protocols relative to the scope of practice, subject areas such as growth and development, pathophysiology, psychosocial assessment, pharmacology, nutrition, disease management, and the principles of health maintenance, applicable state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to practice as a NursePractitioner; and general knowledge of effective supervisory principles and practices, if assigned lead work direction.
Abilities: Possess the abilities and clinical competence required to work as a NursePractitioner including, but not limited to, the ability to work independently in assigned areas of practice established by the supervising physician; demonstrate clinical competence in eliciting patient histories, conducting examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses and injuries, assessing patient needs and making appropriate referrals; use clinical techniques and diagnostic tools; interpret laboratory and other test results; keep current with developments in the medical field pertinent to the incumbent's scope of practice; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other health center staff; be sensitive to and communicate effectively with diverse patients; and, if assigned, provide lead work direction to specified health center support staff.
Education and Experience: Academic degree or certificate from an approved college or University-based NursePractitioner program or equivalent training and experience as outlined by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Incumbents must be clinically competent in a medical specialty applicable to their position and possess sufficient experience to independently perform the duties of a NursePractitioner within that specialty.
License and Certifications: Possess and maintain a valid California license as a Registered Nurse and a BRN certificate evidencing that the individual is qualified to use the title of NursePractitioner, as required by the California Board of Registered Nursing. In addition, if the incumbent is delegated the authority to furnish medications, the incumbent must possess and maintain a valid BRN Furnishing Certificate. If the furnishing procedures include the delegated authority to furnish specific controlled substances, incumbents must also possess and maintain a valid DEA number

Job Description
Under general nursing and medical direction, utilizing standardized procedures, the NursePractitioner functions within an organized system for the delivery of health care in association with other members of the multidisciplinary health care team and performs specialized nursepractitioner duties in clinical settings.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Provides routine preventative and continuity of care to adult and/or pediatric patients; this may include complete history and physical examinations.
Orders diagnostic tests, which may include laboratory tests, X-rays and other imaging, E.K.G.'s, and other disease or condition specific diagnostic tests.
Identifies and manages patients with unstable chronic diseases appropriate to clinical specialty.
Provides urgent care to acutely ill patients.
Acute care planning for patients in an inpatient setting.

Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services (SHS), the NursePractitioner works in the context of a group practice that emphasizes patient engagement over high volume. The incumbent reviews and interprets patient history; performs physical examinations; orders and reviews tests; evaluates, plans, and provides primary care predominantly for college students with common illnesses, injuries, seeking contraceptive care, or needing health maintenance. The incumbent collaborates with and guides the actions of Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses and some ancillary staff. The incumbent consults with other providers (psychiatrists) as needed and when health problems or conditions are not covered by protocols. Position Information
Patient Management Medical Duties
· Works independently according to guidelines and practices described in department approved protocols.
· Obtains detailed health histories and performs complete physical examinations using applicable clinical techniques and diagnostic tools.
· Documents working diagnoses, health care plans, disposition, referrals and prognoses in the electronic health record (E**) or on paper when required, using the subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) format, problem lists and medication lists.

What will you do?
The NursePractitioner will provide advanced clinical medical care in the examination, assessment, and provision of comprehensive care for our members. Our clinicians maintain a clean work environment as well as positivity towards staff and assist in tech as well as clinical developments of our company. Clinicians also are responsible in directing and coordinating the activities of medical assistants they work with, while consulting with and taking direction from medical director. A harmonious work environment is crucial to our company. We encourage mutual learning from all of our clinicians.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide precision medicine-based concierge longevity care to roughly 180+ clients
As the client's private longevity precision medicine clinician, he/she is responsible for providing client's medical and health management services
Participate in the Nucleus Medical Group, focusing on day-to-day clinical operations and development, as well as personalized, prevention focused medical care and targeted health promotion services
Provide regular clinical support within the practice and also via telemedicine modalities (e.g. phone, email, video chat)
Provide direct clinical oversight to a group of pre-assigned clients; assure high client satisfaction and high client retention rate
Coordinate with HLI's Care Delivery System daily to deliver medical care and to support client's consultation services with medical specialist
Supervise a team of nurses, technologists, and clinicians in a client-centered model, help clients set health goals, and support daily clinical work
Help contribute to consolidated report development for quality control purposes
Regularly review and deliver consolidated reports to clients and develop health goals
Provide clinical management for clients in collaboration with multidisciplinary internal and external clinician partners
Assist in training and development of internal and external longevity precision care and specialist clinicians committed to delivery of genomics-based, technology-driven medicine
Minimum Qualifications (Must have)
At least three years of experience working as a primary care-oriented nursepractitioner with background in internal medicine or family practice
Have the passion and skills to delight clients with service-oriented approach and empathetic client interaction.
Board Certified or pending Board certification in FNP or AGNP
Must have or be willing (and qualified) to obtain an unrestricted medical license for California
Commitment to practice of science-based medicine
Demonstrate ability to manage, motivate, and empower diverse clinical teams
Interest in or relevant experience in implementation of innovative medical care models
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership and team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Functional and/or Integrative Medicine training
Experience working in direct pay or concierge medical settings
Able to thrive in an often ambiguous, challenging, and fast-paced environment
Experience in working with early stage medical or biotech companies
Health coaching and behavioral change training
Knowledge of clinical genetics
