Position Overview Location: Near Cameron, AZ Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Shift Type: Day Shift with on-call requirements Shift Schedule: Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM On-Call: 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM Monthly Commitment: 10 days per month (September-January) with flexible shift options Orientation: One day required for orientation Assignment Details Practice Setting: Hospital-based, focusing on Cardiothoracic Surgery Support Staff: Collaborating closely with a Cardiothoracic Surgeon Patient Volume: 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day, plus 1-2 surgeries Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics Department: Cardiothoracic Surgery Hospital Bed Size: 199 beds EMR System: Cerner Required Procedures and Skills Special Procedures: Temporary pacemaker removal Chest tube removal Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) removal Arterial line (Aline) placement Skills: Recent experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) Certification and Licensing Requirements Board Certification: Required Licensing: Must be licensed or eligible for licensing as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Arizona DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association) required Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Cardiothoracic Surgery with EVH experience Education: Nurse Practitioner: Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program Or: Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program with appropriate certifications Licensure: Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license Certifications: Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification, ACLS, and BLS (American Heart Association) required Why This Opportunity?
