Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited masters, post masters, or doctoral nursing program with formal preparation as a Nurse Practitioner.

* Communicate significant findings, problems, changes in condition or environment to the clinical manager/attending physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule: 0.90 clinical FTE
(24-hour shift model; 1,728 hours annually)
Team Model: 1 Neonatologist + 1 NNP per shift
NNPs conduct daily rounds; neonatologist provides leadership, assessments, and plan collaboration
Supported by highly tenured nursing staff, respiratory therapist, lactation consultants, and more
Unit: Licensed for 13 beds, 4 pods | Avg. census: 10-13
Accuity: Level III (B) - 26 weeks and up, ventilation, no surgical cases onsite
Case Types / Volumes: Care for a wide range of neonatal conditions within a busy Level III NICU; delivery room coverage for at-risk infants + average of 2,600 deliveries annually
Collaboration: Work closely with board-certified neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, OB/GYN partners, maternal-fetal medicine, and a multidisciplinary NICU team.

This is an intensely collaborative role with the Divisional Director of Operations (DDO). Communication is a significant aspect of this role; when in doubt over-communication is better than lack there-of. This role will continue to evolve as the company grows. The regional lead clinician was developed out of a need for each clinician to have a go-to person for liaising between senior level management and the clinicians/facilities.
Be able to perform duties of a Healing Partners provider
Perform regular (no less than weekly) check-ins with the DDO; reports updates/concerns in a timely manner
Perform state-survey debriefing with facilities to identify areas for improvement
Conduct (no less than quarterly) in-person rounding at all facilities
Attend pre-implementation meetings within region
Serve as a support-person during implementations and re-implementations; recommend being present for the first 2-3 weeks of new facility implementations
Ensure processes established at implementation continue; early intervention at facility level is important to maintain standards of care throughout company
Assist with skin sweeps/ensure skin sweeps are done quarterly
Assist in coordinating rounding schedule with Providers and Facilities (minimum twice weekly visits in every facility)
Identify key opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency
