The NursePractitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Under the direction of the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology with oversight from the director of cardiac interventional services, perform diversified duties in the care of patients assigned under direction of individual attending physicians under the rules and regulations of Massachusetts governing Physician Assistant practice.
Prepare patients for discharge and care for patients in the Out-Patient Department.
Provide a variety of inpatient care and services under supervision of individually assigned Physician as part of daily activities.
Qualifications
Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
NursePractitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a NursePractitioner is required.

We are seeking a part-time 16-hour NursePractitioner to support our Gastroenterology office. We are located at 1681 Washington Street, Braintree MA 02184. We are open to our patients Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The NP's schedule will consist of 2, 8-hour shifts (one being on Friday) and we are flexible on the other day of the week! Weekly schedules consist of 13.5 hours of patient-facing, clinical time, and 2.5 hours of administrative time
The APPs share panels with physicians to enhance practice operations, increasing patient volume and efficiency while providing excellent patient care and experience. This includes traditional follow up visits and new patient consultation visits. With this model, providers work autonomously to the top of their licensure while also functioning as part of a team.
The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for the following:
