The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients in concert with their primary care providers. Full time 40 hours including evenings and weekends
What you'll be working on:
Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually
Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:
Completed an accredited FNP program with a national certification
In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+)
Currently licensed in CA with ability to obtain additional state licenses
Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday AND or Sunday required)

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The base hourly range for this role is $59.10 to $65.50 per hour (plus evening and weekend differential) based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. General Summary: The Family NursePractitioner provides high quality direct patient care with a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will have to perform some of the following essential duties
Sees clinical patients in the health services office for selected laboratory testing, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries and refers to physician as needed
Writes and dispenses prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Performs primary care and physical examinations (Pap tests, etc.)
Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities
Conducts support groups in subjects related to physical and emotional health (i.e., challenge of change, dealing with losses, dealing with chronic illness as caregiver, etc.)
Coordinates health promotional activities (providing printed information, routine testing, flu shots, mammograms, etc.).
Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
Meets with new staff in department to orient regarding services, identify needs, suggest local physicians and services, etc.
Conducts laboratory test
Provide follow up for patients as appropriate
Make referrals to other medical services and specialist as needed
Qualifications Licensure and Certifications:
Master's degree in a related field preferred
Knowledge of and adherence to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses
Valid California Registered Nursing License
Must be licensed as a NursePractitioner in the State of California.
Current DEA
Current BLS
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a community clinic setting is required.
Must have minimum of 6 years of RN experience related to family health
Recent experience in the use of Electronic Medical Record documentation
Previous experience in a Community Health Centers is highly recommended
Some clinical experience in an area of specialty is preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English required

Possession of a current active California RN license; current active California FNP license; national FNP certification; at least one year experience teaching courses related to FNP nursing or a course that includes practice in teaching nursing; at least two years continuous full time experience in direct patient care practice as an FNP within the last 3 years or eligibility for the Board of Registered Nurses approval to teach FNP nursing.

The NP also helps facilitate safe and efficient operational flow of the patient through their continuum of care. The NP will function as a part of inter-professional teams by communicating, planning, and implementing care directly with other healthcare professionals, including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, office support staff, and other advance practice providers (APPs).
Nursepractitioner performs diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive and health maintenance services. This includes physical examinations, management and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate.
Essential Duties:
Conducts in-depth interviews with patients and/or family, constructs comprehensive medical histories, performs initial and periodic physical examinations and explores patient's interpretation of health needs. Identifies and treats patients' diseases. Manages treatment of hospitalized patients.
Directly performs or orders appropriate diagnostic studies and interprets finished results.
Develops and implements long and short-range treatment plans.
Performs procedures such as obtaining specimens, performing injections, suturing and wound care.,
Writes orders to increase, decrease or change medication,
Initiates consultations and monitors scheduling of patients for special tests.
Identifies records pertinent progress of patients, updating and summarizing charts,
Instructs, counsels and educates patients regarding preventive care, medical problems, psychological problems, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
Maintains compliance with established University and department policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, infection control and complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Req Master's degree Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (MSN).
Req 5 years Clinical nursing experience.
Req Other certifications and experience as required per specialty area
Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
Req Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions and ability to understand, follow and successfully perform duties.

General Summary: The Family NursePractitioner provides high quality direct patient care with a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will have to perform some of the following essential duties
Sees clinical patients in the health services office for selected laboratory testing, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries and refers to physician as needed
Writes and dispenses prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Performs primary care and physical examinations (Pap tests, etc.)
Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities
Conducts support groups in subjects related to physical and emotional health (i.e., challenge of change, dealing with losses, dealing with chronic illness as caregiver, etc.)
Coordinates health promotional activities (providing printed information, routine testing, flu shots, mammograms, etc.).
Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
Meets with new staff in department to orient regarding services, identify needs, suggest local physicians and services, etc.
Conducts laboratory test
Provide follow up for patients as appropriate
Make referrals to other medical services and specialist as needed
Qualifications Licensure and Certifications:
Master's degree in a related field preferred
Knowledge of and adherence to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses
Valid California Registered Nursing License
Must be licensed as a NursePractitioner in the State of California.

Current BLS
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a community clinic setting is required.
Must have minimum of 6 years of RN experience related to family health
Recent experience in the use of Electronic Medical Record documentation
Previous experience in a Community Health Centers is highly recommended
Some clinical experience in an area of specialty is preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English required
