GPH's Health Care for the Homeless team is seeking a part time (24 hours/week) NP to join our highly collaborative and integrated team. Our program provides medical, behavioral health, and substance use treatment on the street, in shelters, at housing first locations, and in a traditional medical clinic. Job Opportunity: Locum NP/PA - Cardiovascular Join a leading healthcare team in Portland, Maine, where you will have the opportunity to practice in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You'll be part of a skilled team managing approximately 1,600 cardiac surgery cases each year, excluding transplants, with an emphasis on collaborative work between surgeons and advanced practice providers. Job Responsibilities: Provide care as part of the Inpatient Cardiovascular Surgery team. Work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR, or three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU. Participate in surgical call responsibility for 1-2 weekdays nights from 6 PM to 6 AM. Manage weekend responsibilities on a rotating basis (1 in 4 or 5 weekends). Act independently in the OR, performing vein harvesting and managing cases in a high acuity ICU setting. Collaborate with surgeons and APPs to ensure seamless patient care.
