Requirements:
Education:
Master's degree in nursing
Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
License:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wyoming
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Be certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Mental Health First Aid America certification or equivalent)
Occupational Health qualification or significant experience (Certifications may be obtained through and sponsored by Aspen Medical)
Qualifications and/or experience in emergency medicine, triage, and treatment
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' clinic management experience in remote locations
Experience in emergency medicine, triage, and treatment. Must have strong emergency medical/trauma care skills and have proven occupational health qualification, or equivalent experience in a construction and/or industrial environment site setting
Post Graduate Occupational Health qualification or significant experience
Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
Certification:
Certified in the specialty required as a NursePractitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of NursePractitioners (AANP)
Job Duties to in included but are not limited to the following:
Implement the site-specific Operating Procedures and Policies, medical plans and protocols, facility requirements, emergency procedures, audits & inspections, quality assurance, and other medical practice management tasks
Conduct quarterly, bimonthly and monthly audits as required
Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the clinics
Aid in the management of occupational rehabilitation, and return to work
Prescribes medications within the statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions
NursePractitioners and within applicable employer policies and procedures. Applies knowledge of pharmacology and evidence-based practice in selecting, prescribing, administering and monitoring the effects of drugs to treat medical conditions or injuries
Use the Electronic Medical Records Systems to ensure accuracy and maintenance of all medical records. Regular audits are to be conducted on medical records
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting at the clinic at a Clinical Nurse Team Leader / NP level as required
Monitor the status of Project personnel hospitalized in regional facilities as required
Ensure the main clinic dispensary is properly secured and a pharmacy management program is in place and implemented
Support project programs and preventative medicine activities as required, including, and not limited to health education activities, well-being programs, and mental health well-being programs
