Clinical Support Technician II needed for Critical Care Unit (CCU). The CCU is an 18 bed unit that provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to the most medically fragile adults. This position is located at the Hillsborough Campus. UNC Health Care Hillsborough Campus is a community hospital which is an extension of UNC Medical Center focusing on many of our elective surgical programs. The 163‐bed facility combines a community hospital culture with the innovative procedures and care for which the UNC Medical Center is known. Position Highlights: Full-time role with rotating 8-, 10-, 12-hour weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule Primarily supports one provider, requiring a flexible and adaptable team player Opportunity to contribute in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment Ideal for candidates who thrive under pressure and maintain a patient-centered focus Comprehensive benefits package available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment Selected Responsibilities: Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms Triage patients as necessary Administer vaccines and injections Record patient data prior to the physician's visit Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures Administer medications Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed Maintain proper disinfection protocols Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider Candidates should preferably have one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT, along with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
