What you'll do:
Supports the coordination of transportation to and from client medical appointments as assigned.
Completes medication counts within residential programs as assigned.
Inventories and maintains supplies for nursing offices and first aid kits.
Provides basic first aid and emergency care to youth and staff and then advises supervising RN.
Evaluates illnesses and reports findings to supervising RN. Follows up as needed, monitors and/or administers medications as prescribed under the directions of a RN.
Assists in health screens and reports findings to RN.
Orders supplies and equipment and picks up as needed.
Performs clerical duties related to nursing work.
Transports clients to external medical appointments

Who you are:
You have at least a high school diploma or GED.

Position Requirements
Education & Licensure:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.
Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
Experience & Skills:
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
Ultrasound experience is a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to empathize with patients.

The Care Promoter, Specialist Podiatry is an unlicensed medical professional who has received specialized training to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to support the Specialist PCP and provide a great patient experience. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Measures and records patient vital signs; records patient interview and medical history.
Collaborates with care team to ensure specialist related medical records and consult notes are obtained.

Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments; practices OSHA safety standards; performs accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
In partnership with care facilitator team, greets patients and schedules appointments upon check-out.
Serves as the gatekeeper for Specialist schedules including, but not limited to ensuring all patients have follow up appointments with PCP and Specialist.
Works in conjunction with Care Facilitators to ensure all appointments for the following day are confirmed and all missed appointments are rescheduled appropriately.
Works in conjunction with Care Coordinators to ensure Specialist orders are completed and patients scheduled accordingly.
Presents patients with customer service survey during check out and escalates if needed for immediate service recovery.
Processes patient phone messages, returning calls and routing them to other team members as appropriate; calls patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician.
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion
PAY RANGE:
$20.2 - $28.83 Hourly
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position.
