The DispatchHealth Medical Technician II (DHMT-II) supports patient care by assisting with physical exam, point of care testing, treatments and data gathering. The DHMT II works at the direction of a virtual DispatchHealth Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) while being present with patients in their homes. Strong organizational and customer service skills are keys to success as the DHMT-II. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided for this exciting opportunity to assist in the delivery of hospital-level healthcare in the comfort of a patient's home.
What You'll Do
Drive DispatchHealth vehicle to meet patients at their place of need and load and unload supplies for daily activities
Don and doff PPE appropriately and maintain strict infection prevention strategies
Communicate with a healthcare provider via messaging video conference and mobile device.
Obtain patient's vital signs and assist in the collection of patient data
Facilitate a physical exam using a mobile device and conduct other diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by virtual provider, as permitted by state law. This may include, but is not limited to, blood draws, EKG, splints, basic wound care, and other patient care activities that are required for the successful completion of the visit.
Perform indicated point-of-care lab testing as directed by virtual provider
Prepare discharge instructions in conjunction with provider
Responsible for equipment use, care and allocation
Restock and clean equipment at end of shift appropriately
Other duties as assigned to successfully complete a visit and maintain equipment and vehicles
What You Need
EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B (per state requirements) in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant OR Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse, as per state regulations.
Minimum one (1) year patient facing experience
Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an
i-STAT
device, are encouraged to apply.

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and escort them to the examination rooms; assist patients with the completion of forms as necessary.
* Become familiar with clinic computer hardware and software and use according to company policies.
* Answer multiple line and multiple language telephone lines.
* Schedule appointments and accommodate patient appointment needs, such as ordering transportation, rescheduling, etc.
* Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility.
* Perform clerical work as needed, i.e., copying, filing, faxing, etc.
* Maintain procedure rooms by ensuring that they are neat and ready for use at all times.
* Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures in accordance with instructions and individual doctor preferences.
* Prepare patients before procedures and clean up after.
* Ensure patient receipt of post-procedure instructions and how to obtain medication if needed.
* Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
* Train new staff and assist ultrasound staff as needed.
* Additional duties as assigned.

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you are the heart and soul of our team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you get to help our senior/elderly residents stay close to home and live with independence and dignity. You do more than just provide medication reminders or assist with meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments. While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support them in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies.
You make sure that they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging independence and promoting family involvement as much as possible. You are meticulous about reporting any changes or concerns promptly. In this way, you provide real peace-of-mind for them and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS
No experience necessary paid training provided.
Ability to pass a background check.
Reliable transportation. This is a travel position.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Ability to be away from home a week at a time.
