Compensation: $18.25 - $20 hourly Responsibilities: Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, facility policy, and Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) regulations Document medication administration in the Medication Administration Record Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report promptly to the nursing supervisor Ensure controlled substances are properly counted, secured, and documented Observe, report, and document changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency protocols Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, visitors, families, physicians, and other staff members Provide quality patient care with respect and dignity Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are a necessity Current unrestricted Virginia Board of Nursing Registered Medication Aid certificate 2 years of supervisory experience Dependable At least 18 years old Ability to lift 35+ pounds and be on your feet for extended periods of time Exceptional communication skills Ability to work as a team player and get along with others Reliable transportation About Company Stuarts Draft Retirement Community is a locally owned and operated senior living community in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The Position The Patient Care Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients.
