This treatment facility is privately owned, and is located within a nursing home setting, and will be treating only resident patients of that location. The dialysis team members are not employees of, or in any way affiliated with the management of the nursing home facility.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Work independently under the direction of the center Manager
Preparation of patients and dialysis equipment for the performance of hemodialysis
Monitors and records machine parameters and patient response during treatment
Preparation of dialysate for treatment
Empties trash, contaminated needle boxes and laundry
Responds to patient needs: emergency situations, bedpans, and transportation
Assists in CQI data collection and coordination where applicable
Maintains the confidentiality of all Practice information regarding patients, coworkers and physicians

PLUS point of care testing (inc. blood glucose), weights, vital signs, I&O, telemetry monitor application/reapplication, HAC & PSI prevention (TEDs/SCDs). In addition, must perform simple dressings, placement and removal of restraints, bladder scan, all specimen collections, peripheral IV catheter removal, and indwelling Foley catheter removal, phlebotomy/venipuncture, and ticket to ride. All standard competencies must be achieved.
