What You'll Do Administer medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in accordance with state and federal laws Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, meals, and mobility Support a clean, safe, and home-like environment through light housekeeping and resident support tasks Assist with meals and hydration as needed Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and medication administration Offer courteous support to residents, families, and visitors Uphold professional behavior while functioning as part of an interdisciplinary care team What You BringQualifications High school diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with at least one (1) year of full-time experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program through a State of Tennessee-approved program Active CMA certification in good standing, including completion of six (6) hours of continuing education annually Active CNA certification maintained in good standing Skills & Abilities Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary Memory Care team Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care Professional communication skills and dependable work habits Physical Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs. Work Environment This role is performed in an indoor Memory Care environment designed to support residents with cognitive impairment. Duties may include accompanying residents to supervised activities and supporting structured daily routines.
