As a Transporter Aide in this unit, you will assist fellow caregivers in ensuring patients have the critical attention and treatment they need. Under the direction of the Peri-Operative Nurse, you will help create a safe and sterile OR, maintain supply inventories, provide patient transport and monitor environmental equipment. This role plays an integral part in the overall organization and flow of the department. A caregiver in this position works nights, from 11:00pm7:30am, A caregiver who excels in this role will: Identify the surgical patient by checking ID Band and asking the Patient to state name before transport.
