Adira at Riverside - Broad Function: To provide elders with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulation governing the facility as well as established nursing home policies and procedures. Specific Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Posses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to deal graciously with personnel, elders, family members, visitors, and the general public. Possesses the ability to seek out new methods and principles and willing to incorporate them into existing programs. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility. Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function.
