As the District Health Coordinator, this role will focus on supporting all schools within the district by providing guidance on health and safety policies, procedures, and record-keeping. As the School Nurse, this individual will provide direct nursing care to students, manage chronic health conditions, administer medications, and respond to health emergencies, ensuring students receive the care they need in a safe school environment. 1. School District Health Coordination: Health Policy Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of health-related policies and procedures for the district, ensuring compliance with Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines. Training & Support: Conduct training sessions for staff, and administrators on health policies, emergency procedures, and effective record-keeping. Ensure all school personnel are informed and equipped to handle health-related situations.
