The Opportunity 12.5-month program at Riverside University Health System - Medical Center designed to train AP's in Emergency Medicine utilizing didactic and clinical experience. 2100 Clinical hours in acute EM care as well as weekly lecture time. Core Emergency Department time will be 10 months (40 weeks). Off service rotations include Internal Medicine, ICU, Bedside POCUS Ultrasound Course, and specialty rotation tracks. Fellows will attend the Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course (ATLS) at RUHS. In addition to core EM content, focused training will include clinical efficiency, documentation, billing, scribe utilization, and patient throughput. This is a paid fellowship with benefits and malpractice insurance included. Required Experience and Competencies Physician Assistant applicants must be eligible and/or possess NCCPA certification or a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program. Nurse Practitioner applicants must be eligible and/or possess AANC or AANP certification, or a graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited program. Must be licensed to practice in the State of California. Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (must be fully licensed by the start of the program). Current certification in ACLS, PALS , and BLS.
