Bathe patients as assigned and in accordance with our established nursing care procedures. (Encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities.) Keep blankets on bed to assure that patients are warm at all times, watches for and reports any change in room temperature, ventilation, lighting, etc., and keeps patients' personal articles off the floor and properly stored. Report any medication found in the patient's room and takes found medication to the charge nurse as directed. Keep supply room and work areas clean at all times. Washes hands after caring for each patient. Follow infection control procedures, as established by this facility, when isolation techniques are necessary. Report all accident/incident, regardless of how minor, and all hazardous conditions and equipment to the charge nurse immediately. Attend and participates in -service educational programs, on-the-job training programs, etc., as directed. Ensure that patient's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are well established and maintained at all times. Maintain Confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to assure patient rights are protected. Required Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities: Must have a valid and current certification to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant Must have a valid and current CPR Certificate.
