Key Result Areas Under the direct supervision of the RN, and following the plan of care to provide comprehensive care to patients and families including but not limited to: Responsible for upholding Treasure Coast Hospice/Model Standards for patient visits and compliant documentation. Clearly understanding and adhering to each Standard. Motivate and lead self with confidence, energy, and integrity. Nurse Assistant must report all concerns about the patient or family to the RN Supervisor. Perform household services to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in the areas of the home used by the patient. Light cleaning and laundering essentials to the comfort and cleanliness of the patient. Perform bed bath, sponge, tub, and/or shower bath. Perform hair shampoo, nail and skin care, oral hygiene for each patient. Ensure safe transfer techniques and ambulation. Assist patients with normal range of motion and positioning Ensure adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Follow all standards, policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations. Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with clients and staff. Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times. Plans, organizes and prioritizes work effectively and efficiently. Ability to handle challenging work environment, while maintaining a positive and professional image. Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled material. Fulfill all responsibilities related to the success of the strategic plan of the organization, as requested and assigned. OSHA Category Position will be categorized as category I (involves routine exposure to blood and body fluids/tissues).
