The ideal candidate will follow the established care plan diligently, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and communicate any changes in the patient's condition to the RN promptly. Additionally, they will offer meaningful support to both patients and their families during this critical time and be willing to take on other responsibilities as needed, always upholding the values and standards of Big Bend Hospice. Position Duties and Responsibilities: The Hospice Aide responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate knowledge of the hospice philosophy. The Hospice Aide is responsible for attending to the personal care needs of the terminally ill patients under Big Bend Hospice care. The Hospice Aide works under the direct supervision of the Hospice Registered Nurse. The Hospice Aide follows the direction of the care plan. Document timely and appropriately. Participate in end-of-life care for the patient and family. Inform RN of any changes in the condition. Complete other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.
