RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our network of exceptional clinicians. You will have the ongoing support of our dedicated team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care
Facility Type: Behavioral Health
Schedule: 8-12 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for clients identified at nutritional risk, specifically considering the unique challenges associated with substance use disorders, withdrawal, and recovery (e.g., malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, disordered eating patterns, metabolic imbalances).
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized and evidence-based nutrition care plans tailored to the needs of clients in various stages of addiction recovery (detoxification, residential, outpatient), promoting overall health and supporting the healing process.
Offer specialized nutrition education and counseling to clients and their families regarding healthy eating patterns, managing cravings, restoring nutrient balance, addressing co-occurring medical conditions influenced by substance use (e.g., diabetes, liver health), and promoting long-term wellness in recovery.
Proactively collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, peer mentors, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize client outcomes and integrate nutrition seamlessly into the overall treatment plan.
Ensure compliance with all facility policies, state licensing regulations (e.g., specific to Pennsylvania/New Jersey), and best practice guidelines for addiction treatment and nutritional care.
Maintain thorough and timely electronic medical record documentation, reflecting medical necessity and the effectiveness of nutrition interventions in the context of addiction recovery.
Routinely monitor clients for changes in weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical condition (e.g., related to post-acute withdrawal, medication side effects), adjusting nutrition interventions promptly.
Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical rounds, and case conferences to enhance nutrition care services and overall client well-being within the addiction recovery setting.
Serve as a nutrition expert and resource for facility staff, contributing to staff education on the role of nutrition in addiction recovery and general wellness.
Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed to support client recovery and facility operations.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
Current state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state where the facility operates).
Minimum of 2-3 years of recent clinical experience, with a strong preference for experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, mental health, or a related field. Acute care experience is a plus.
Demonstrated understanding of the nutritional challenges and recovery needs of individuals with substance use disorders, including an awareness of co-occurring mental health conditions.
Proficiency in assessing and addressing nutritional deficiencies, weight management, and specific dietary needs relevant to recovery.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients (who may be vulnerable or resistant), families, and a collaborative healthcare team.
Possesses superior critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to assess complex client needs and develop effective, supportive nutrition plans.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and regulatory standards relevant to addiction treatment facilities.
Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, supportive, and client-centered environment.

General Summary:
The weight management Registered Dietitian supports the primary care physician/ referring provider by providing nutritional assessment, education and management to patients with chronic conditions who are at risk for disease progression and complications. In collaboration with the physician and interdisciplinary team, the Registered Dietician develops and implements an individualized care plan designed to promote the patient's understanding and management of their condition, optimizes quality of life, and improves clinical outcomes. The Registered Dietitian will also help to develop, implement, and assess nutritional programs for the weight management program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessment, education, and management to patients referred by physicians and/or multidiscipline care team

Family Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center located in Sandusky and Norwalk, Ohio and serving the Erie and Huron County area. Due to our growth, we are looking to expand our services by adding a part-time Dietitian to our team.
The dietitian will participate as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate the continuum of care and education of patients with nutrition-related chronic health conditions. Responsible for conducting individual and occasional group patient nutrition education at Family Health Services. Meets with patients and patients' support members to assess nutrition-related knowledge, self-care habits, and nutritional status. Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy for individuals with various chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, heart disease, etc. Consults with nurses, physicians and others as necessary to resolve problems with patient's overall care. Additional outreach education duties at community sites may be required upon request.
The dietitian is accountable for setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and promoting the achievement of patient outcomes. In addition to working with the healthcare team, the dietitian will interact with families and patients in a positive and empathetic manner. Utilizing a team-based approach, the dietitian provides highly proficient care, utilizing evidence-based guidelines, which is patient-centered and supportive of diversity and cultural factors. This position will assist the Food Is Medicine Program director as time permits with other patient, community, and staff education programs (individual or group) as needed and is an active participant in improving the health and well-being of our community.
Essential Functions
* Assesses nutritional status of patients based on input from referring physician, medical records, lab results, blood glucose monitoring trends, various clinical assessment methodologies, and patient consultation.
* Assesses nutrition knowledge and self-care behaviors of patients and their support members. Evaluates patients' skills in self-care, ability/readiness to learn, and resource utilization. Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team in gathering data relevant to the patient's health status.
* Collaborates with the patient and the interdisciplinary health care team in developing a patient-centered plan of care. Examines the various treatment options available for implementing the plan of care.
* Designs individualized care plans that are congruent with the preferences, needs, age, educational level, culture, lifestyle, financial resources, physiological status, psychosocial readiness and desired clinical outcomes of the patient.
* Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and educates clients and support members on the content and strategies to operationalize nutrition goals and assimilate them into long-term behavior changes. Hiring a part-time Dishwasher for 15 hours weekly. Shift is 4pm - 8pm.
Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils thoroughly to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing equipment, workstations, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Dispose of waste and recycle materials as needed.

The Dietary Aide role supports the dietary team by ensuring guidelines are followed by maintaining a clean and safe dining environment and providing excellent customer service to residents and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation and Service:
Assist in preparing and serving meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines, including special diets such as diabetic, low-sodium, or gluten-free.
Ensure that food is served in an attractive and timely manner, following portion control and resident preferences.
Prepare food trays, deliver meals to residents or patients, and assist with food delivery to common areas or individual rooms as needed.
Sanitation and Safety:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, cleaning tables, and sanitizing equipment.
Follow all food safety regulations and facility policies to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
Ensure that kitchen and dining areas meet local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
Inventory and Supplies:
Assist in maintaining and restocking food supplies, condiments, and utensils as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and notify the dietary supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
Resident and Patient Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service to residents, patients, and families, responding to questions and special requests promptly and courteously.
Help residents and patients with meal-related needs, such as serving beverages, providing additional utensils, or addressing dietary concerns.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cooks, dietary supervisors, and other kitchen staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of meal service.
Assist with kitchen duties, including food preparation and setup for meals.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in food service or a healthcare environment is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and visitors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Copeland Oaks, a non for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community has openings for casual and part time Diet Aides. Copeland Oaks is located on a beautiful 250-acre village like setting in Sebring Ohio, between Salem and Alliance. The casual diet aide works on average of 12 hours per week and the part time diet aide works 16-29 hours per week.
The Diet Aides provide important food services to the residents of independent living, assisted living and long term care skilled nursing; as well as to employees and visitors. Diet Aides set up meal trays and deliver food carts to resident areas and assist in serving meals. Diet Aides also work on various cleaning tasks within the kitchens.

Dietary Aide provides dietary services for the residents in Assisted Living and the Health Center. Dietary Aides complete dietary services including and not limited to serving meals to resident, cleaning dish, cleaning the dinner room, and other directive from the Dietary Cook.
What will I do as a Dietary Aide with Genacross?
Review menus in preparation for meal services.
Prepare food in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures.
Set up of meal trays, food carts, serving of food and meal delivery as necessary for the resident dining experience.
Responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery of food to residents.
Assists in the distributing of resident meals to create an enhanced experience.
Processes diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.
Completes necessary forms, reports, etc. in order to ensure smooth operations of the dietary department.
Works closely with the dietician in order to implement necessary changes to the resident dining experience.
Addresses resident and family concerns in a professional manner and reports those concerns to the Director of Dietary Services.
Assists in the inventory and storage process of incoming foods, supplies, etc. and works to maintain accuracy and organization in this process within applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures.
Perform dishwashing procedures to ensure clean plates; utensils, etc. are available for the upcoming resident dining experience.
Responsible for assigned cleaning duties in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.
Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
Implements and follows disaster plans in the event of an emergency.
Dietary Aide Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Prior experience working in a long-term care setting and with a high-volume food production setting preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn new software application as required by the position.
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.
Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
