We finance commercial real estate new construction developments, substantial rehab projects, and retrofits of existing buildings with an innovative financing product called C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy). Nuveen Green Capital is the nation's leading provider of C-PACE financing. C-PACE financing funds multi-million dollar energy, water, and resiliency measures within a commercial real estate project's construction budget and is paired with traditional construction, bridge, and permanent financing to complete a project's capital stack. C-PACE financing is attractively priced construction-to-permanent financing that is growing in popularity among real estate developers and property owners.
The Director will have responsibility for originating and overseeing the underwriting and closing of complex, multi-million dollar C-PACE loans with traditional commercial real estate debt for multifamily, hotel, office, retail, and industrial properties in one of the largest C-PACE market in the country. The role will be responsible for managing existing relationships and forming new relationships with borrowers, brokers, and industry partners with a focus on North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC in order to build out market presence in the Southeast.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
* The Director will be primarily responsible for originations and channel partner management for North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC - with the opportunity to originate all over the Southeast.
* Build a robust pipeline through direct sales with the support of the NGC market development team, leverage existing networks, and form relationships with commercial real estate professionals including building owners, developers, professional services firms and clean energy contractors.
* Responsible for engaging in all aspects of the loan origination process, including analysis and underwriting, debt structuring, pricing strategy, due diligence review, transaction negotiation and closing.
* Work closely with transaction managers, credit, legal, and state/ local C-PACE Program Administrators to close C-PACE transactions.
* Source and partner with 1st mortgage lenders to provide a complete debt capital stack for potential projects.
* Work with the NGC team to refine current processes to be more efficient and scalable.
