Qualifications
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college/university
Eight (8) years of industry experience with PE license
Ten (10) years of industry experience as a practicing engineer with no PE license
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Electric utility T&D material, design, and/or construction standards and specifications development preferred
Theoretical and practical knowledge and excellence in transmission line, substation, or distribution engineering principals
Familiarity with appliable codes and standards such as the NESC, NEC, and IEEE
Performing field and factory inspections preferred
Demonstrated skills such as:
Managing multiple complex and unique tasks to completion
Effective oral and written communication
Leadership, coordination, and team building
Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, graphical design software, and database software.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required. Limited travel will be required. Engineers assigned to apparatus will require more significant travel.
