Firmware Design & Execution: Design and implement firmware for the memory subsystem, including silicon bring-up, validation, and debugging for NVIDIA SoC products.
Software and Configuration Tuning: Tune the DRAM interface and manage the memory subsystem configuration, including enhancements to initialization, functionality, performance optimization, and power management.
Optimization & Quality: Plan and execute firmware features while contributing to code refactoring, profiling, complexity optimization, and comprehensive validation.

THE ROLE:
We are hiring a highly technical and creative AI Developer to join our advanced AI team at AMD. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Research, prototype, and implement cutting-edge techniques in generative AI, e.g. speculative decoding, reasoning post-training, the latest RL methods, etc.
* Translate advanced AI concepts into clear, engaging educational content, including course modules, technical explainers, and keynote-style presentations.
* Collaborate with AI engineers, researchers, and educators to ensure technical accuracy and pedagogical clarity.
* Track record of designing visually compelling, shareable content with a strong sense of storytelling to maximize reach and impact.
* Stay current with the latest research in LLMs, decoding strategies, and model efficiency, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Advanced degree (MS or PhD preferred but not required) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
* Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
* Demonstrated experience with LLMs/transformer architectures.
* Proven ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts through engaging content or presentations.
* Experience creating content (e.g. course materials, technical tutorials, or keynote talks) that prioritize clarity and simplicity.

Principal / Senior GPU Software Performance Engineer - Agentic Performance Optimization & Automation
THE ROLE:
We are building agentic systems that continuously explore, optimize, and maintain performance of AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs. Your mission is to design and implement automated performance optimization loops-agents that profile workloads, generate hypotheses, tune kernels and configurations, and push improvements into production with minimal human intervention.
You'll collaborate with compiler, framework, and infra teams to create the tooling and agentic infrastructure that makes AMD platforms the easiest place to get state-of-the-art performance, at scale.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is passionate about software engineering and automation, treating performance as a product. You drive sophisticated, multi‑system issues to resolution by combining rigorous profiling, data‑driven experimentation, and safe automation loops. You communicate effectively and work optimally with compiler, framework, infra/SRE, and customer‑facing teams across AMD, aligning stakeholders and landing durable improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Build and maintain automation that continuously profiles and improves workload performance.
* Implement safe, data‑driven tuning of configurations and kernels to achieve measurable gains.
* Detect and triage performance regressions; ensure changes are validated in CI.
* Integrate with existing profiling, compiler, and build/test tooling.
* Produce clear reports and dashboards to communicate results to stakeholders.
* Create reusable tools and interfaces that teams can adopt with minimal effort.
* Partner across teams to prioritize, land, and maintain performance improvements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Strong background in GPU performance engineering and systems:
* Experience profiling and optimizing deep learning workloads on modern accelerators.
* Familiarity with ROCm, CUDA/HIP, Triton, or similar low-level stacks.
* Experience building automation or optimization systems, such as:
* Auto-tuning frameworks (e.g., TVM, auto-scheduler, Triton autotune).
* Experiment management or large-scale benchmarking infrastructure.
* CI/CD pipelines focused on performance regression tracking.
* Familiarity with LLM/agent tooling:
* Orchestration frameworks, tool-calling, and structured logging for agents.
* Applying LLMs to code generation, refactoring, or performance investigation is a plus.
* Strong software engineering skills in Python and at least one of C++/Rust/Go.
* Experience with distributed training/inference and scaling across multi-GPU, multi-node clusters.
* Comfort working cross-functionally with:
* Framework and compiler teams.
* Infra/SRE and benchmarking teams.

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team. THE PERSON:
As a Systems Design Engineer, you will drive scalable and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your systems engineering expertise will be necessary to define products, develop solutions, assess root causes, and produce solution resolutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Driving technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives
* Debugging issues found during the SOC (System on a Chip) programs bring-up, validation, and production phases
* Working with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
* Working closely with supporting technical teams
* Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
* Leading collaborative approaches with multiple teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
