About the Role:
We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Loan Originator to join our growing team at DML. In this role, you'll be the front line of our mortgage business-connecting with clients, building referral networks, and providing top-tier mortgage solutions for homebuyers and refinancers.
You'll work with a collaborative and high-performing team that supports your growth, respects your craft, and helps you stay focused on what you do best: originating loans.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
Proactively build and expand your referral network through coffee meetings, lunches, and happy hours.
Represent DML at networking events and host or attend BD events to create meaningful relationships.
Use a multi-step sales approach to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
Schedule and conduct 1:1 meetings with agents, brokers, and other potential partners.
Relationship Management
Nurture your database of past clients and partners using a structured and intentional follow-up system.
Execute regular "touches" such as check-in calls, social media engagement, events, and drip campaigns.
Leverage DML's reporting tools to identify growth opportunities and maintain compliance.
Mortgage Sales
Guide clients through the full mortgage process: application, document collection, loan presentation, and pre-approval.
Communicate proactively and clearly with clients and referral partners throughout the process.
Stay current on mortgage products and present tailored solutions for each client's needs.
Trust your team to handle operations so you can focus on building and closing business.
Business Management
Manage your time efficiently-focus on the important, not just the urgent.

Open Position: New Home Consultant
At Wayne Homes, we guide customers in understanding more deeply what they need and want in a home. By helping them find the Wayne Homes floor plan that best suits their needs and assisting them in customizing that plan, it makes a perfectly personalized fit for the new homeowner. Regarding your schedule, you'll be working full-time including weekends, since that's when most people go shopping for a home. But you'll have two consecutive days off during the week, and our Model Home Centers are closed most major holidays.

* Lead Management and Communication: Daily review of leads, followed by proactive outreach to prospective customers via telephone and email to schedule in-person/virtual meetings. Ensure clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining open lines of dialogue.
* Loan Origination and Advisory: Originate and prepare new loans meticulously, adhering to federal, state, and company regulations outlined in the "Loan Officer" agreement. Offer personalized advice and recommend the most suitable mortgage loan products aligned with customers' financial and individual needs.
* Sales Support, Metrics, and Reporting: Provide crucial assistance to New Home Consultants on customer pre-qualifications, actively contributing to the development of a pipeline for outside sales. Strive to meet or exceed closed loan capture rate, spot loan objectives, and other established sales goals and metrics specified in the "Loan Officer" Agreement. Your Responsibilities on the Team
* Learning Development: Participate in formal training programs provided by the company. These programs cover various aspects of lending, including understanding different types of loans, assessing creditworthiness, and navigating the loan approval process. Train with manager on mortgage rate sheets in order to learn to accurately price and lock loans. Review various daily/weekly/monthly reports to learn the overall mortgage process from application to closing.
* Continuous Education and Licensure: Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and appropriate state licensing as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
* Support and Coordination: Update the loan application with any missing data. Maintain notes within the Loan Origination System to ensure complete exchange of information. Occasionally provide initial set up of the file.
* Business Development and Customer Relations: Participate in builder and realtor functions to develop and maintain relationships. Work with Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
* Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure that borrowers can easily reach out through various channels (phone, email, chat) and receive prompt responses. Act as a primary contact between our borrowers and their Loan Officers, schedule and conduct meetings as needed, to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed.
* Collaboration and Flexibility: Assist processors and closers in procuring loan documents from borrowers and other entities as needed. Engage and assist internal associates through various channels (phone, email, chat) and receive a prompt response. Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* BA or BS preferred
* Mortgage or banking experience (preferred)
* Experience in articulating product or service features, benefits, and value

Learning Development: Participate in formal training programs provided by the company. At Wayne Homes, we guide customers in understanding more deeply what they need and want in a home. By helping them find the Wayne Homes floor plan that best suits their needs and assisting them in customizing that plan, it makes a perfectly personalized fit for the new homeowner. Regarding your schedule, you'll be working full-time including weekends, since that's when most people go shopping for a home. But you'll have two consecutive days off during the week, and our Model Home Centers are closed most major holidays.

The New Home Consultant at Lennar is responsible for managing the new home purchase process from initial customer contact to closing, aiming to create a “tickled, delighted and happy” customer. This includes daily operations at Welcome Home Centers, processing sale agreements, and closing sales in line with company business plans.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Engage and establish relationships with visitors to understand their home buying needs, utilizing the company's selling philosophy.
Self-generate sales leads through community engagement, realtor partnerships, and proactive prospecting.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the competitive market, including products, community features, and demographics.
Provide consistent follow-through with customers from initial contact to post-closing, maintaining accurate communication records.
Participate in sales meetings, neighborhood promotions, and marketing programs.
Ensure the maintenance of Welcome Home Center models and inventory homes.
Complete required training and participate in community events and phone banks.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and real estate license preferred.
1-2 years of experience in homebuilding or real estate sales preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use sales tracking tools.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. This is primarily an active position, involving office/phone work and walking in all weather conditions, and uneven surfaces, to and within homesites in the community. Must have a valid state driver's license in order to take customers throughout the neighborhood and community, visit realtor offices, and to various other meetings in the process of self-generating sales. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard and telephone equipment. Must be able to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 25 pounds.
