1941

1941 Land acquired northside of campus

1954

1954 Shuman Hall property purchased

1956

1956 Name changed to Nyack Missionary College; Clarkstown Country Club property purchased

1960

The seminary was established in 1960 as the Jaffray School of Missions, a graduate program of the college.

1961

1961 One year post baccalaureate authorized; Jaffray School of Missions founded

1962

1962 Middle States and NASM accreditations; College of Arts and Sciences founded

Nyack first received school accreditation in 1962 from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

1963

1963 Membership in American Council on Education; MusB and honorary degrees approved

1967

1967 School of Education founded

1974

1974 Name changed to Alliance School of Theology and Missions; MPS approved

1984

1984 Korean Extension Site in Queens opened

1990

1990 Association of Theological Schools accreditation

1997

By 1997, Alliance Theological Seminary classes were offered there as well.

1997 Nyack College Manhattan Center (NCMC) approved; move to 335 Broadway

1999

1999 Alliance Graduate School of Counseling founded

2001

2001 BSW approved; Prison program launched

2005

2005 Bradley property purchased

2008

Steady growth in enrollment at the leased space in Lower Manhattan at 361 Broadway prompted a search in 2008 for a new permanent home for the New York City campus, an initiative that became known as The Miracle in Manhattan.

2010

2010 School of Nursing founded; DMin approved; BPS approved

2012

In 2012, Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary signed a 20-year lease with a two-year option to purchase the 166,385 sq ft (15,457.7 m) on eight floors of the structure at 2 Washington Street in historic Battery Park.

2014

2014 School of Social Work founded

2020

2020 Consolidation to NYC campus; Jersey City dorm opened

2021

Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary are hosting a comprehensive evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation by the ATS Commission on Accrediting on September 20-24, 2021.
