In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance of quality assurance program, supervision and review of dosimetrists tasks, review of planning procedures and oversight of the patient planning and treatment process with brachytherapy or external beam radiation therapy
Job Responsibilities:
* Treatment Planning: Identifies and evaluates target volumes and critical structures. Generates QA plans as required for IMRT and reference points as needed for physics checks. Follows established policies and procedures as they relate to treatment planning. Demonstrated level of planning capability. Completeness of RT electronic charts: setup fields, DRR, CBCT, ref points, scheduling.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Quality Assurance: Performs assigned quality assurance tasks in a complete and timely fashion (linac monthly and annual QA, IMRT QA, brachytherapy QA). Performs assigned quality assurance tasks in a complete and timely fashion (initial chart checks, weekly chart checks, final chart review). Documents all quality assurance work in a complete and timely fashion and determines compliance in all categories included in the lists; initiates corrective action when necessary.
* Participates in in-service programs and conferences. Attends all required department in-service meetings. Attends annual billing/documentation/safety classes. Attends annual Radiation Safety in-service.
* Participation in training of Residents and Students: Assists in the training of Residents and Students on use of Eclipse or ARIA and the principle of treatment planning. Participates in research protocols.
* Initiative: Makes suggestions for positive changes. Demonstrates ability to understand tasks and creatively apply solutions. Demonstrates ability to adopt and help develop new physics initiatives and policies. Readily accepts new assignments and responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master's of Science degree in physics or engineering and completion of a training/residency program or a Master's Degree in an accredited Medical Physics program. the manufacturer, model, serial number, CE number and the problem with the device.Communicates as necessity
with the manufacturer regarding die problem, assists the service representative when they are responding to
service calls and in troubleshooting and repair of the device. Insures that full operation inspection/PM is performed
on the device prior to returning it to service.
"Records all service information on the appropriate maintenance checklists; and properly""tags"" the unit (as per
department policies regarding documentation). Keeps the Clinical Engineering Director/Operations Manager
informed on the current maintenance status of the devices. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; based on the

We offer complete dental care, weight management consultations, soft tissue surgery, as well as diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine cases. Our patients include dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and other pocket pets.

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Admitting Clerk.
In this role, the successful candidate performs duties related to the process of admitting patients to the hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assists in taking reservation from the physicians offices, in organizing the daily admissions boards and assigning the beds. Accurately and expeditiously enters all information in the computer systems and on admission waiting lists. Efficiently and courteously answers telephone and addresses all inquires. When necessary, assists in assigning patients to appropriate accommodations.
* Courteously explains any patients responsibilities, i.e.private room differentials, limited insurance coverage, etc. Thoroughly answers all patients inquiries pertaining to admission. Contacts the physician's office if necessary, to rectify any patient demographics, or logistical problems.
* Obtains the required pre-admissions and admission information. Verifies source materials as to their authenticity and accuracy, and gathers correct and up-to-date information.
* Adheres to departmental guidelines concerning sick time, vacation, personal days, and other paid/unpaid leaves. Arrives on time for work and meetings, provides proper notification of absences or tardiness and maintains a professional appearance; wears identification badge at all times.
* Ensures departmental compliance with applicable standards of The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals, as well as, applicable federal, state and city regulations. Designs and implements a comprehensive program of quality assurance. Remains aware of current regulatory requirements and thoroughly answers any questions pertaining to these documents.
* Accurately updates the computer system, to correctly reflect all and personal demographic information. Explains thoroughly all forms, and obtains and witnesses all required signatures on consent and financial agreements. Reviews thoroughly all previously obtained orders to ensure accuracy. Promptly enters each admission in the admission log book.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Makes appropriate suggestions which would enhance or benefit the area or department. Volunteers assistance to others when appropriate. Seeks additional assignments when assigned work is completed. Demonstrates an ability and desire to learn more skill sets.
* Demonstrates the ability to recognize, establish and attend to priorities. Strives to make good use of time during the assigned shift through careful coordination of daily tasks. Demonstrates adaptability by adjusting well to changes in scheduling.
* Recognizes problems and sees solutions as appropriate. Able to determine when a problem should be referred to the manager or requires a follow-up attention. Seeks information necessary for accurate completion of job duties and uses reference materials to ensure accuracy.
* Cooperates and communicates with all hospital staff, including physicians, patients, their families and visitors in a courteous, effective and professional manner. Attentive to others in order to respond appropriately, answers questions, or obtains needed information. Maintains the confidentiality of all, patient, physician and hospital related information. Communicates ideas, problems, suggestions and messages in a timely and effective manner.
* Answers the telephone and inquires in a pleasant and courteous manner; promptly identifying the department when answering the telephone. Answers routine inquiries accurately and refers non-routine inquiries to the supervisors. Takes messages thoroughly and accurately.
* Computes and compiles the hospitals daily census. Gathers requested or required statistics on the census. Accurately gathers all pertinent data from the computer system, the admission log and the bed board. Adds, subtracts, and computes all data accurately. Records and transcribes all statistics accurately.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Light typing and working knowledge of computers is required as are good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hospital admissions experience and/or familiarity with insurance verification procedures are preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

In this role, the successful candidate The Activity Therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, group treatment and therapeutic mileu. The Activity therapist completes functional assessments on all Inpatient Psychiatric patients and works as an integral member of the treatment team to provide an individualized therapeutic mileu treatment approach for the patients. The Activity therapist assists with program development and provides activity groups and events that assist the patient toward their recovery. Collaborates with internal and external agencies to provide groups, events and activities that meet the treatment needs of the patients. Is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of Activity schedule, supplies and storage. Utilizes their creative skills to present educational and community resource information for patients.
Job Responsibilities:
Plans and implements the unit's activity therapy program, including planning of daily events, special events and providing inservice for other staff participating in the activity therapy program, as appropriate.
Conducts divisional therapy program, including planning and arranging for guest speakers and/or external agency participation.
Conducts activity therapy group sessions, displaying good theoretical knowledge of group principles and good group techniques.
Conducts individual activity therapy sessions, as assigned, displaying good theoretical knowledge and good treatment technique.
Completes activity therapy evaluations as per Policy and procedure.
Communicates pertinent patient information and observations with the treatment team, and documents accordingly.
Displays good interviewing, assessment and report-writing skills.
Provides education and referral information for patients as needed.
Acts as Activity Therapist consultant to other areas within hospital setting as needed.
Demonstrates appropriate understanding of the needs of patients and visitors for each specific age group.
Addresses safety and psychological needs of the age groups in planning and delivering care.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum of bachelors degree in recreational therapy and/or Creative Arts Therapy.
Certified by NY State as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Licensed Creative Arts Specialist (LCAT)
At least one years experience working with Inpatient Psychiatric Patients preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work productively and effectively, as part of multidisciplinary team .
Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
