Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate The Student Intern will work on the Evaluation of the NYC Baby Boxes program. This position primarily entails reaching out to patients to administer surveys over the phone, recruiting patients for one-on-one interviews, and helping to conduct patient interviews. The surveys are administered using REDCap and take approximately 15 minutes to administer. We will provide training on administering the survey and recruiting for and assisting with the patient interviews.
About the Project: In collaboration with the NYC Mayors Office, NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) is piloting the NYC Baby Boxes program, a new program designed to provide free boxes of supplies for babies and mothers to all families giving birth at H+H facilities. The boxes include diapers and wipes, clothing, bathing and feeding supplies, and the NYC New Family Resource Guide with information on maternal and baby health, benefit access and other City and community-based supports. The evaluation team from NYU Grossman School of Medicine (NYUGSOM) is conducting an 8-month mixed-methods evaluation focusing on patient outcomes and perspectives of the Baby Boxes pilot program. We anticipate that findings from this evaluation will provide evidence needed to improve the program at the participating H+H facilities and provide key suggestions for expanded services to other H+H facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
* Data collection: Contact patients and administer surveys using REDCap; Assist with patient interviews
* Recruitment: Help to recruit patients for interviews
* Communication: utilize strong verbal communication skills with study participants and with colleagues
* Research knowledge: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our research study, study rationale, and processes of the study.
* Collaboration: Engage in team meetings and supervision.
* Other research-related activities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
The student intern must be a full-time student, or if working in the summer months (Mid-May through Mid-Sept), must be planning to return to full-time status in the fall.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
Prior survey administration experience .
Background and/or coursework in public health or related research area.
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
In addition to these qualifications, we are looking for someone with a personality suitable for the task. There are several sensitive topics covered in the survey (e.g., family needs, perceived stress) and the staff member must approach participants in such a way that they are comfortable being candid about their experiences.

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Clinical Intern to join our team! The Clinical Intern will be a key contributor to the success of our Clinical Engagement Center focused on improving member's health and wellness via tele-pharmacy and wellness coaching. Under the supervision of a clinician, this individual is responsible for the delivery of the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services for commercial and Medicare members. In addition, the Clinical Intern will assist in the development and execution of additional clinical outreach programs to exceed client expectations. Interns will develop their knowledge of the R&D process by shadowing CSSE colleagues. This will include attending trial team meetings and strategy sessions, as well as meeting with vendors and our CRO partners. Interns will be expected to present a conclusionary presentation highlighting their experience and sharing learnings.

Support the identification of the competitive landscape for a given trial/indication

Review the documents Study Start-Up is responsible for tracking
Support the tracking of reportable metrics
Patient Recruitment & Retention
Support the Patient Recruitment and Retention strategy development with a focus on identifying successful methods for effective clinical trial messaging and tactics that will resonate with a broad segment of the population.
Trial Equity
Support the development of a global diversity strategy
Support includes but not limited to data aggregation related to the demographics of disease, support trial teams with researching local community-based partnerships and assisting in maintaining the D&I in Clinical Trials resource database (store on SharePoint).
Develop their knowledge of the R&D process by shadowing CSSE colleagues in their support of at least 1 trial.
Collect external communications related to D&I in Clinical Trials to help build their personal acumen.

The practice has four clinics with one located by Ogdensburg, a second clinic located in the Potsdam/Canton area, a third in Greene, NY and a fourth clinic in the village of Massena. All four clinics are within 30-45 minutes of each other and are two hours from Syracuse, one hour from Lake Placid, one hour from Ottawa, and two hours from Montreal.
The clinics are well equipped with new digital x-ray units, blood lab stations, surgical lasers, ultrasound and companion therapeutic lasers. All clinics are staffed with certified technicians and support personnel. The staff is extremely client oriented and understand the importance of excellent customer service. New graduates are encouraged as mentoring is an important aspect of our clinic's philosophy. Today's veterinarian faces many challenges and our philosophy embraces a positive "life/work" balance where our veterinarians are afforded a healthy time off schedule. Our veterinarians are guaranteed a 3-day weekend every other weekend!
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals that can handle both the medical and surgical needs of the patient as well as the individual needs of the client while working hand in hand with our professional staff.
