Job Summary:
MaintenanceTechnician is responsible for repairing, troubleshooting high speed processing/packaging equipment, preventative maintenance, installing, systems and utilities within a 24/7 continuous Dairy Food Processing Facility. Must be a team member that ensures line efficiency goals are met.
Work Schedule & Career Growth:
This position follows a 10-hour shift schedule with rotating workdays throughout the week. We are currently hiring for both 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 12:30 AM) and 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 8:30 AM). Weekend availability is required.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, Maintenance Mechanics participate in a skills assessment every six months. These evaluations focus on technical proficiency, safety practices, and equipment knowledge. Based on performance and demonstrated mastery, employees may be eligible for a merit-based raise. This program is designed to recognize growth and reward excellence in the field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Ability to troubleshoot and correct utilizing the following skills: Industrial Electrical 480V, AC/DC Theory, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, Mechanical Maintenance, Motors, Digital Electronics, Print Reading, Control Circuits, Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Test Instruments, and Computers.
•Understands operational urgency and supports production requirements.
•Ensures safe operating practices for self and other operators.
•Uses established preventative maintenance programs to maintain operating systems.
•Repairs and replaces defective parts.
•Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
•Repairs electrical instrumentation and control equipment.
•Team member working with Maintenance, Engineering and Operators who has good communication skills.
•Boiler operation and ammonia experience a plus.
•Must meet minimum of twelfth grade level in math and reading.
•Must complete Maintenance Skills Evaluation.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
Compensation Structure:
Base Pay Range: $26-$31 per hour*
Skill-Based Scaling: Pay may increase up to $36 per hour* based on performance in a skills assessment.
Ongoing Evaluation:
Skills assessments are conducted every 6 months to ensure continued growth and alignment with role expectations. Pay adjustments may follow based on assessment outcomes.
*The hourly rate as indicated in the CBA. The posted pay rate reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and or failures of automated equipment and initiates repairs.

Operate within a cGMP regulated environment, managing documentation associated with facility, equipment, and parts changeout.
Aide and observe all outside contractors, including escorting and monitoring work done to ensure safe practices.
Maintain a spare parts list and inventory of critical spares.
Communicate with production operators and production manager about any equipment being out of service and an estimated time for return to service.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school w/ 2 years' experience repairing automated equipment OR a minimum of a High School Diploma and 6 years' experience repairing automated equipment required.
3-5 years' manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, steam, and operation of automated equipment required.
Effective communication skills required.
Forklift and scissor lift certifications a plus.
Welding and machinery experience a plus.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Alongside our production teams, our MaintenanceTechnicians work in a team or autonomously to continuously improve our equipment reliability in a high-speed manufacturing environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Work with team to maintain machinery, meeting maintenance requirements for 480-volt, 3 phase systems, and minimizing downtime.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment, disassembling and reassembling of machinery, overhaul gearboxes, and replace bearings, bushings, etc.
Troubleshoot & maintain PLCs and variable speed drive controlled equipment.
Perform mechanical work e.g., bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, hydraulics, and lube routes
Knowledge of major brewing equipment preferred e.g., Decanters, Yeast Separators, Malt/Rice Mills, K-filters, Lauter Tubs
Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements
Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work order, planners, and part staging
Assist with process improvement and initiate change.
Analyze knowledge & process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
Use SAP to detail corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the shift; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required
3 year industrial mechanical/electrical experience or two-year technical degree preferred

Knowledge/experience with process controls, instrumentation, and calibration required.

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic level lll performs tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds along with maintenance and repair of CNC machines and various manufacturing equipment. Role and Responsibilities:
· General maintenance duties throughout company buildings and grounds.

· Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.

Requirements

Responsibilities
* Maintain all specified auxiliary equipment.
* Check physical plant property for any damage; roof leaks; a/c and heaters not working.
* Complete all daily molding machine inspections assuring to maintain proper grease and oil levels.

**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain all specified auxiliary equipment.
+ Check physical plant property for any damage; roof leaks; a/c and heaters not working.
+ Complete all daily molding machine inspections assuring to maintain proper grease and oil levels.
+ Check inside and outside for things that need to be fixed, lights, etc., check all wash rooms for leaks (water).
+ Thorough inspection and complete documentation of the daily facility and machine task checklist.
+ Complete all required facility auxiliary equipment PM's within the timeline specified for each task.
+ Maintain and complete all ISO and Master cleaning tasks and documentation.
+ Inspect all AC units on a daily basis for proper functioning. Report to our contracted service of any issues noticed and assist if necessary.
+ Assist with any tasks that may be asked of you beyond specified building maintenance tasks when your help is needed or requested.
+ Assist with any machine maintenance tasks when your help is requested and or needed( eg: injection/ clamp rebuilds, automation issues, etc)
+ Follow all safety rules.
+ Follow all GMP's.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ Building Maintenance or Facilities Maintenance experience preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
