Pay Rate $16/hr Job Purpose The Lift Truck Operator's primary responsibility is to store received product within the racks, utilizing and maximizing the available space, while scanning the product to enable inventory tracking. Associates assigned to operate lift trucks will attend an extensive training course that includes viewing video tapes, a review of the material, and a general knowledge test. After successfully completing the required written portion, on-the-job training is initiated and a “ Certified Driver ” certificate is awarded. Responsibilities Inventory/Material Control Clerk Triumph Title: Inventory/Material Control Clerk 2 FLSA: Nonexempt Reports to: Manager, Planning and Materials Maintains and issues material in the stockroom. Essential Functions * Conducts all operating system transactions for all material receipts and issues of material into and out of the Parts Integrity Area (PIA). * Receive material from incoming inspection or SIDA suppliers into the stockroom. * Pull material for Assembly jobs, including stack-up, from PIA based on the pull list provided by Production Control. * Fill backorders for material shortages to job pulls once material is available. * Deliver material to appropriate area that was over issued or used for production returns. * Issue material for engineering requests per Production Control. * Performs daily cycle counts. * Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook. * Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements * Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met. We are hiring for a 1st Shift Lift Truck Operator (6AM-3:30PM) to provide quality material handling to support operations and achieve growth. This position will be reporting to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime. Starting pay is $23.00/hr DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders QUALIFICATIONS: Experience operating lift truck to load/unload lumber and steel products. Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled Positive, clear, and professional communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience. Minimum 1 year of experience working in warehouse environment Lumber and Steel experience is preferred. Experience in transloading fly ash from rail car to truck.
