Position Summary The Suite Attendant is responsible for serving guests in the Suites. The Suite Attendant must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 and is tip eligible. Responsibilities Responsible for assisting setup of food service areas within specific suites and club areas based upon pre-order. Ensures all assigned suites are set prior to event based upon communication received of orders. Responsible for organization and preparation of events in assigned locations. Responsible for assisting in closing out financials per event and ensuring correct billing takes place. Monitor and maintain food quality. Follows all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests. Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures. Monitor and maintain inventory control and product requisition fulfilling. Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments. Responsible for supervising the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests. Responsible for ensuring suites has all necessary serving ware. Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event. Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals. All other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors. Qualifications Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations. Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly. Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory. Proven ability to work well with all levels of management. Prior supervisory responsibility preferred. B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business Management from a four-year college or university. Ensure HVAC equipment is properly being planned for in regard to maintenance with projects planned between a month out and leading into the upcoming week prior to events and client using contracted spaces In conjunction with the HVAC Manager develop projects in advance ranging a week to a month at a time. In conjunction with the HVAC Manager, help diagnose equipment issues with the HVAC Technicians and help make repairs as needed Develop and maintain an accurate building supplies/ tools list related to HVAC equipment maintenance and ensure monthly checks for tools and condition of building supplies. Document checks are being done. Help oversee the BAS and limit the use of overrides and help identify sensor/control issues. Completes tests for chemical control of boiler water, cooling water, and condensate. * Troubleshoots, repairs and replaces general and laboratory exhaust fan systems * Repairs or adjusts valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings. * Clean-up and organize mechanical rooms, mezzanine, physical plants, and work shops * Provide access for contractors from time to time * Demonstrating the ability to be trained on forklift and aerial lifts * Makes regular patrols through mechanical rooms to record condition and operation of equipment to ensure its being scheduled into preventative program before failure * Participate in the operation, maintenance and repair of facility equipment, minor electrical, lighting, commercial kitchen and plumbing repairs to expedite the return of equipment or auxiliary systems to operational status * Be able to operate boom lifts, scissors lifts, and forklift. Or obtain certification within the first 6 months from our in-house train the trainer * Complete minor plumbing task for event related activity. * Track daily productivity via timesheets, daily logs and CMMS. * Communicate arrival, location and departure with HVAC/Plumbing Manager. * Perform event related duties, set-ups and coverage as assigned * Clearly, effectively, and timely communicate work issues with staff * Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients * Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High school diploma (or equivalent) required * Minimum of 1-2 years of direct experience in HVAC/R and control programs. * Possession of a CT D-2 license or substitution of technical trade school and experience. * Experience with computerized building automation systems. * Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software, general computers and understanding of basic IT functions. * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both verbally and in writing * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Must have availability to 5a - 2p shift as your primary schedule nights, weekends and holidays as needed for events.
