Overview
The warehouse worker is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverage and related product and equipment received at Principal Park. The inventory and security of all items is under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an events based on the Iowa Cubs Schedule (mainly March to end of September). This position requires work in all types of weather.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $14.50. plus tips

Responsibilities
Checks all incoming items against purchase order sheets checking making sure all items have been received in ordered quantities.
Ensures that all items are placed in their storage location at the proper temperature.
Maintain accurate delivery and inventory records.
Requires keeping all storage areas and inventory in neat, organized and sanitary condition as directed by management.
Deliver items according to concession stands and place inventory in a proper fashion using the FIFO method of rotation (First-In-First-Out).
Responsible for maintaining the overall security of all storage areas for Iowa Events Center by ensuring that all areas are properly locked and protected.
Assist with monthly inventory as directed.
Make note of any inventory that is needed to complete upcoming events.
Other duties as assigned to support the food & beverage operation as directed by Concessions Managers or Food & Beverage Director.
Qualifications
Age 16 or older.
Experience in warehouse and receiving or food and beverage preferred
Detail oriented, ability to multi -task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to read in the English language to effectively manage inventory and requisitions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours.

The Senior Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of catering functions while maintaining the highest standards of guest service, compliance and presentation. A proven track record of experience providing clear direction, demonstrating leadership and evaluating performance in order to make recommendations for improvement.
Proficiency of computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite in a Windows format. Ability to be available by company provided cell phone. Experience with Momentus or similar event management software preferred.

Position Summary
The Marketing Intern will assist in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions for various types of events. We are looking for individuals who want professional level experience and have the initiative, skills and drive to excel. This program will give individuals an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the live entertainment, sports, and venue management industry. The marketing intern will support the Iowa Events Center digital and grassroots footprint inclusive of social media, website, digital assets, email, and more. This role is expected to last from January 12, 2026 and will end on April 13, 2026.

About the Venue
The Iowa Events Center & Casey's Center are the state's premier convention center and arena, located in downtown Des Moines. The Iowa Events Center & Casey's Center are owned by Polk County and managed by OVG, a division of Oak View Group.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions for various types of events.
Assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator in social media management and content creation for the Iowa Events Center and Casey's Center Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Execute marketing efforts for upcoming events, including creating promotional material and coordinating with partners.
Analyze marketing data to track campaign performance and identify areas of improvement.
Participate in weekly meetings to discuss artist and fan engagement during events.
Perform a variety of event day responsibilities within the marketing department.
Key Learnings:
Hands-on experience in the fast-paced live event and hospitality industry
Exposure to print and digital advertising
A greater understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite and how each program is used in a professional work environment
Skills in social media and digital content creation
Growth in leadership, problem-solving, project management, and communication through real-world projects
Qualifications
College student majoring in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Sports and Recreation Management, Hospitality, or related field of study.
Working knowledge of programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
A desire to work in the entertainment, hospitality, or sports industry.
Strong attention to detail, a 'can-do' attitude, and a desire to learn.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Design eye-catching promotional materials such as posters, banners, flyers, and digital graphics for a variety of events, subjects, and styles for both Casey's Center and the Iowa Events Center
Create engaging social media graphics and digital content to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
Collaborate with staff to brainstorm and execute creative concepts that align with event themes and branding standards.
Ensure all designs are consistent with the venues' branding and visual identity.
Assist in developing visual branding assets for various events and campaigns.
Assist in capturing engaging behind the scenes content day of events

Qualifications
College student majoring in Graphic Design or a related field of study
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior

Position Summary
The Parking Supervisor will assist the Parking Manager in daily operations of all Iowa Events Center parking locations. Position is responsible for various administrative duties and ensuring staff has appropriate knowledge and tools for customer service focus and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
* Assist with day to day supervision of part time Parking Attendants
* Organize, prepare and distribute work schedules for staffing specific event needs
* Track attendance of staff according to Attendance Policy; promptly notify Manager/HR when warnings are needed
* Communicate event schedules and information with parking staff
* Monitor lot during events to ensure cars are parked quickly and effectively; immediately contact the Manager if issues arise
* Track parking tickets and maintain daily parking records
* Ability to work in all parking locations and positions
* Reconcile ticket sales to cash in accordance with established accounting procedures
* Prepare various operational and financial reports regarding areas of responsibility in absence of Manager

* Monitor lots during events to ensure smooth ingress of the interior and exterior of the lots
* Promptly and professionally resolve all customer service issues related to parking in absence of Manager
* Inspect work productivity of parking attendants to ensure that the highest levels of efficiency, accuracy and customer service are met
* Coordinate with Event Managers and Parking Manager to ensure accurate scheduling of staff
* Assist in operation of daily events as business demands to provide excellent customer service
* Greet and direct customers entering parking lots, sell parking tickets and count back correct change
* Verify proper documentation all cars going through booths
* Balance cash drawer at the end of shift
* Set up A-frame signs, parking cones, and reserved/disabled parking signs as event needs
* Identify and problem solve parking issues; prevent when possible
* Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
* One or more years' experience in a team leadership or supervisory customer service position preferred.
* Demonstrated computer experience in a Windows format including email, data entry, and typing skills.
* Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and communication skills.
* Comfortable working with the public with an outgoing and friendly personality
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
* Ability to work both independently and as part of team, remaining flexible in your role
* Ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
* Ability to work the majority of Arena events at the Iowa Events Center.

Overview
The Phone Operator serves as the first point of contact for the Iowa Events Center, providing exceptional customer service and professional communication to all callers and visitors.
