Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for custodial services at the Owensboro Convention Center and Owensboro Sportscenter Our Housekeeping Team plays a key role in providing our guests with superior service. About the Venue Western Kentucky's award-winning venue - the Owensboro Convention Center - is a full-service facility overlooking the scenic Ohio River in revitalized downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. The multi-purpose center boasts just under 102,000 sq. ft. of available space, including a 44,000+ sq. ft. exhibition hall, the 8,900+ sq. ft. Kentucky Legend Pier outside over the scenic Ohio River, and additional ballroom, meeting, and pre-function space. The Sportscenter, one of Owensboro's most historic buildings, opened in 1949. It is a multi-purpose, 5,000-seat arena that hosts concerts, sporting events, graduations, trade shows, meetings, and receptions. Responsibilities Maintains the cleanliness of the venue to OVG standards by utilizing proper cleaning techniques. Operates various equipment including buffers, rider sweepers, scrubbers, blowers, and vacuum cleaners as needed. Providing great customer service to all clients and employees. Maintain equipment and ensure orderly and clean storage area. Maintain good working relationship with all vendors. Must be friendly, courteous and polite with a positive upbeat attitude. Able to work a variety of events including exhibit shows, concerts, conferences, conventions, meetings and banquets. Ensure areas are safe for patrons and staff. Anticipate and correct any trouble situations in your area. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age for all positions. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment preferred. Ability to manage high stress fast-paced environment. High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. Must have at least 1 year of experience in a related field. Experience in a public facility highly preferred. Reliable transportation and working contact information is required. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work events including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Position Summary The Operations Team Member is a part-time position that assists in all aspects of event execution and daily facility upkeep. This includes setting up and tearing down events, working with Audio Visual equipment, assisting with maintenance projects, and other duties as assigned. Understand and accurately follow verbal, written, and/or diagrammed instructions as set forward by Managers and Supervisors. Position Summary The Housekeeper performs all custodial work throughout the building to keep the Owensboro Convention Center & Sportscenter clean. They're responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all areas meet established cleanliness and sanitation standards.
