Position Summary This Operations Crew position at Enmarket Arena is physically demanding and requires individuals who are willing to engage in hands-on labor to ensure the successful setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events. Crew members are responsible for the heavy lifting, physical setup, and facility maintenance required to keep the arena and its events running smoothly. The primary tasks associated with this position are event conversions, changing the ice surface to a temporary floor for various events, setting up and striking stages, and event set up for all games or events. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 - $20.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 31, 2025. About the Venue The Enmarket Arena is a 9,500-seat arena with luxury suites, club seating, and first-rate food and beverage. The Enmarket Arena bolsters entertainment in the Southeast by hosting must-see national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and more. The venue also expanded sports in the region by introducing a tenant ECHL hockey team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, along with presenting professional, collegiate and amateur sporting events. Responsibilities * Perform general labor, repairs, and maintenance throughout the arena as assigned. * Complete arena conversions between events. * Set up and breakdown of chairs, tables, event seating, stages, basketball courts, hockey dasher boards and glass, turf, and other equipment. * Lifting, moving, and securing heavy materials for event transitions. * Actively maintain and care for all arena equipment and property. * Storing equipment properly. * Cleaning and repairing damaged items. * Reporting any mistreatment or damage to management. * Maintain organized storage areas and ensure all equipment is accessible and in working order. * Perform snow removal tasks, including shoveling sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and loading docks. * Other labor intensive duties as assigned. Qualifications * Must be 18 years or older. * Expect to work primarily outside of normal business hours, including overnights, late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays-this is not a typical 9-to-5 job. * Physically capable of completing labor-intensive tasks in a fast-paced environment; both solo and in structured team settings. * Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. * Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. unaided and climb stairs frequently. * Steel-toe boots are required for safety. * An open mind to learning and active participation in all aspects of event changeovers. * Prior experience in event conversions, general labor, or facility maintenance is a plus. Responsible for keeping the restaurant/catering work areas and equipment clean. Assists the Suite Attendants and Servers. Responsible for setting tables and reservations. Assists bartenders in re-stocking or retrieving items needed for the event. Assists serving staff in delivering orders to guest's tables and suites. Responsible for answering the phone and taking orders. Responsible for keeping the Suite work areas and equipment clean. Responsible for assisting in the set up of the Suites and Restaurant. Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. Additional duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or OVG management staff for the successful outcome of an event or customer service situation. Responsibilities Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors. Set-up duties may include: verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, verifying that each location is fully operational, ascertaining levels of food production based upon projected guest attendance has been met; assuring that SL or NFP Stand Leader has followed proper procedures for distribution and handling of cash. Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events. Training new & current employees with regarding to property procedure & best practices. Willing to cover/back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met; assist with Premium Services operations and event needs, as directed. Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relays safety/health issues to management immediately. Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of work place expectations; provide on-going assistance, training and mentoring to event staff and volunteers; promote a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative workplace environment by working side-by-side with staff and volunteers; reinforce procedures and practices through repetition; lead by example and provide on-going constructive feedback. Ability to obtain working knowledge of all existing concession locations: geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas and facility access. Responsible for supervising the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Responsible for assisting in recording a guest's order and relaying the order to the kitchen via P.O.S. system. Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed. Responsible for computing the cost of the meal and presenting the guest with the check. Accept payments and provide change as necessary. Recommends certain dishes and identifies ingredients or explains how various items on the menu are prepared. Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event. Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals Enforces all company policies and procedures. Practices excellent Human Resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling employees and completes all necessary HR related paperwork. Assists Management team with projects including training, inventory and special events. Responsibilities Responsible for cooking and packaging food product which is prepared to order or kept warm until sold. Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders. Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests. Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand. Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays. Responsible for operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens. Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift. The Cook must be checked out before ending the shift by the Floor Supervisor to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards. Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
