Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, this Operations Manager position manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the facility (arena and exhibition hall/meeting rooms), including engineering, maintenance, set-up/changeovers, custodial/housekeeping and grounds keeping. Provides overall administrative planning, direction, and policies to operating managers maintaining the highest quality service program to ensure client satisfaction. Assists in the development and management of annual Operations Department budget and Capital Project planning/execution. Provides overall department management assistance to the Director of Operations.
This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$60,000

About the Venue
The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men's and Women's basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.
Responsibilities
* Oversees daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems. This includes HVAC, sound, lighting, fire protection, life safety, workplace safety, communications, video boards, etc.
* Schedules and oversees Changeover Supervisors, Building Mechanics, Building Services staff, etc.
* Provide support and management oversite of Custodial services including daily cleaning, pre-event, event and post-event cleaning, day-to-day operations
* Manage preventative maintenance program for all facility assets by tracking, logging, scheduling, monitoring all facets to extend life of equipment and systems additionally provide hands on assistance to maintenance staff as necessary to complete necessary duties.
* Oversee the administration of all part time staff: Hire, train, evaluate, and motivate
* Provide support and management oversite of the Operations department: event set-up and tear-down, i.e. basketball floor, stage risers, chairs, signs, etc.
* Assists in negotiation and administration of contracts with outside vendors including pest control, scoreboard systems, seasonal landscaping, etc
* Participate in the development and administration of the Operations Department budget; Forecasting of future funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures.
* Order supplies and materials for building supplies and maintenance within budget guidelines
* Acts as co-liaison with University, City and State Services for numerous facility related functions (City Codes, Fire Safety Codes, Parking, Licenses, permits, etc.)
* Responsible for Health & Safety compliance
* Represents Operations Department in absence of Director of Operations
* Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations
Qualifications
* Bachelor's/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in facility operations management
* Must show demonstrated knowledge of physical plant management, supervisory skills and experience in work crew supervision in facility operations
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended number of consecutive days
* Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
* Possession of or ability to obtain a valid CPR certificate
* Possession of or ability to obtain a valid state driver's license
* Possession of or ability to obtain a valid forklift license
* Knowledge of budget preparation and control
* Knowledge of OSHA requirements

Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Events, the Event Coordinator will coordinate every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event and event settlement. Responsibilities

Update event estimates, as needed, to send to the client and complete a final settlement upon completion of each event
Have the ability to problem solve, make quick decisions and delegate responsibility while remaining professional and pleasant in the midst of stressful
Assist the event director with processing of biweekly Events Department payroll to HR
Complete all duties with a customer service focus through teamwork & dedication to Oak View Group's mission and principles

Qualifications
Experience coordinating banquets, tradeshows, conferences, meetings and/or weddings preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a public assembly facility including supervisory responsibility
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in facility management, hospitality management, business management, or another related field
Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing is required
Work a flexible schedule including long days, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to function and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Secures building by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance cameras; inspecting building, equipment, and access points
* Prevents losses and damages by reporting irregularities in cooler temperatures, and HVAC equipment
* Respond to requests for assistance from DLTCC staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
* Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned
* Conducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks)

Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for F&B in the venue.
Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
Fulfills all event expectations including but not limited to delivering product to stands during events, post-event clean-up and break-down, equipment storage, sanitation and maintenance.
Ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each stand for each event; rotate products FIFO and maintain integrity of products.
Ensure proper transfer process of products between locations, including follow-up documentation.
Responsible for concession and other F&B equipment cleaning and maintenance: portable equipment, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.
Conduct walk-through of the warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
Responsible for checking out NPOs, Sub-Contractors, and other Concessions Runners at the end of the event. Ensuring all clean-up is done, and stock put away.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to OVG and venue concession operations.
Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
Ability to consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Hospitality experience or similar venue experience a plus.
Food/Alcohol service certification preferred.
Physical Dimensions:
Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking. Routine activities require the employee to be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, and close vision.

Position Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the promotion of concerts, sporting events, conventions and other events/activities within the facility, while developing creative marketing campaigns that promote public/community awareness. This position is responsible for maintaining relationships with media partners, and ensuring fulfillment of contracts while overseeing the media buying and billing process. This individual will manage, supervise and coordinate all the activities of the Marketing department to reach budget goals and generate revenue for the facility. The Director of Marketing will implement marketing plans, manage event advertising budgets and promotions and ensure successful sales for events.
This role pays an annual salary of $65,000-$75,000 and is bonus eligible

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men's and Women's basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.
Responsibilities
Provide marketing support for concerts, family shows, sporting events, conventions, and other miscellaneous events / activities
Enhance existing promotional initiatives and develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales and other revenue streams, such as third-party partnerships, new media avenues, Food and Beverage, and non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events.
Aggressively create new ways to sell tickets
Work with sales team to market the venue for conventions, banquets, meetings and tradeshows
Provide support to sales team with creative collateral for sales presentations and outreach to include: brochures, website enhancements, social media campaigns, and other creative assistance to enhance sales efforts for events, suite sales, club ticket sales and sponsorships
Assist in public relations efforts such as media releases, story pitches, media drops, interviews,
Participate in the development and implementation of annual marketing goals, objectives, and management of department budget
Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities, including development of marketing plans.
Negotiate contracts with media and promotional partners
Explore non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events
Develop, monitor and evaluate annual marketing budget
Create, prepare and implement advertising and promotional plans for booked events
Communicate daily with media partners, promoters and entertainment agencies to maintain cooperative, positive relationships
Track, analyze and compare event sales information
Be involved with the community and act as the voice for the venue
Manage event settlement packets, including collecting invoices, coding and creating a back-up packet
Develop collateral, including fliers, newsletters, websites, posters, postcards and email blasts
Manage day-to-day promotions and event activities
Responsible for the management, content creation, and growth for all venue social media platforms such as: Facebook and Instagram
Create social media campaigns to engage customers, vendors, sponsors and community, collect data and generate awareness for new items and specials
Prepare written letter of agreements including negotiating terms
Prepare weekly corporate marketing reports and participate in monthly conference calls with other Oak View Group entities
Coordinate marketing efforts between promoters, artist management and local media
Direct and plan promotional projects and coordinate focused marketing programs developed to enhance overall building image and reputation.
Update website, marquee and in-venue digital systems
Manage and grow database and develop email campaigns
Work in conjunction with Group Sales and Premium Services managers to maximize revenues.
Recruit, supervise, and provide professional development for Marketing department staff, including full-time employees and student interns.
Responsible for the creation of the Annual Report and Annual Venue Marketing plan
Explore non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events
Interpret the venue customer experience through surveys and other means and aggregate results for presentation
Research, analyze and monitor industry factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized
Conduct focus groups and market research
Perform all other duties as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or better is preferred from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, public relations, business administration or other related field
Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing required, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility
Knowledge of marketing and advertising/sponsorship program development
Proficient with media buying, promotions and public relations
Knowledge of ticketing platforms and marketing assets available
Knowledge of Website maintenance
Ability to work with wide array of client groups, vendors and business partners enterprise-wide
Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges using website analytics
Basic computer proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with publishing software such as Microsoft Publisher, Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to project a professional manner and appearance, and communicate effectively with clients, senior management, staff and the general public

Overview
Reporting to the Director of Events, the Event Manager will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event and event settlement. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of banquets, trade shows, meetings, parking lot and smaller miscellaneous events that are assigned by Director of Events
Thoroughly describe the venue's services and outline how the services are coordinated to clients
Advise clients with event logistics and suggest the most effective ways to use the facility for specific types of event functions
Responsible for the hiring, terminating, performance evaluations, scheduling, training and development of approximately 150 Guest Services staff.
Design set up diagrams in AutoCAD program based off event needs for approval by the client
Work with the operations department to ensure all events are set up to the client's specifications and that all fire codes and safety regulations are being followed
Communicate with Director of Food and Beverage, Chefs and Catering Manager on needs of each event
Create and distribute detailed Event Data Sheets prior to every assigned event
Update event estimates, as needed, to send to the client and complete a final settlement upon completion of each event
Have the ability to problem solve, make quick decisions and delegate responsibility while remaining professional and pleasant in the midst of stressful situations
Serve as manager on duty as scheduled
Coordinate the collection, input and documentation of all required employee information for part-time event staff
Processes and submits biweekly Events Department payroll to HR
Complete all duties with a customer service focus through teamwork & dedication to OVG's mission and principles

Qualifications
Experience managing concerts, banquets, tradeshows, conferences, and meetings preferred
Minimum of 3+ years experience working in a public assembly facility including supervisory responsibility is preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in facility management, hospitality management, business management, or another related field is preferred
Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing is required
Work a flexible schedule including long days, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
The Banquet Server will assist the Food and Beverage Manager and Event Manager in serving the guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.
Prepare, refill and serve beverages and wine for customers.
Set up of tables according to meal period and specified standards.
Remove dishes and glasses from table and take them to the kitchen or breakdown station.
Set up and break down buffet and break stations, as needed.
Remove and replace table linens and service settings, as required.
Clean and arrange workstations, chairs, and table pieces.
Refill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, and condiment containers.
Give menu descriptions to customers and answer questions regarding preparation.
Relay special orders to the Catering manager, banquet captain, chef or kitchen.
Serve meals to customers or direct customers to buffets.
Observe customers to find out if anything else is needed.
Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent GED strong preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets or restaurants preferred.
Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks.
