After serving eight years in the United States Marine Corps, he decided to pursue a career in business. He met his wife to be, Alexandra Shook, in 2013 and they later married in 2018. After starting his career in public accounting, Andrew joined Oaks Senior Living in an effort to continue the success and long-standing reputation of the family business. “Although I married into the family, the Shook and Salabarria family is one which only loves at one level; maximum. Ever since I was introduced to the family, it was evident that the most important thing was each other. The family-centered life is something that I know meant everything to our founder, Nelson Sr. (Papi), and it’s something that I believe is at the heart of our organization.”
