This 138-bed free-standing psychiatric inpatient hospital and outpatient program located in Tempe, AZ, is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Our psychiatric facility is looking for an experienced Admin Assistant for our Outpatient Services.
We are seeking applicants with at least 2 years' experience in an administrative support role. This position requires skills in MS Office, including intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidates must be able to accomplish the following:
Receiving and screening telephone calls, letters, and/or visitors
Assist the Director in answering routine questions and furnishing information
Assist the Director in organizing files, correspondence, and records, and follow up on pending matters.
Routes and answers routine correspondence
Prepares routine letters and memoranda for the Director
Prepares special reports, gathering and summarizing data
Performs related duties, as requested.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to contribute, engage, and work well in a close-knit team environment. About the Role
As a Financial Counselor, you will be a vital part of our Business Office team, working under the supervision of the Business Office Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure patients are fully informed about their financial obligations and that all financial documentation is accurate and complete. You'll serve as a liaison between patients and insurance providers, helping to navigate coverage details and payment processes with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage details to patients
Collect deductibles and copayments at the time of service
Process credit card payments and maintain accurate transaction records
Conduct account research and respond to patient inquiries
Establish financial arrangements according to hospital policy
Maintain professional communication with patients, physicians, and internal staff
Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word with proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in behavioral health settings
Familiarity with HEA and AZ AHCCCS systems
Minimum Requirements

The experienced Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN in inpatient care. Under the RN's supervision, the BHT will assist with patients' activities of daily living. The BHT is also an active participant in daily shift rounds and in the treatment plan process and will assist in creating and maintaining a therapeutic milieu. The BHT will gather information and provide crisis intervention to assist the RN in implementing the patient's treatment and care plan. The BHT will conduct activities/groups as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Therapist to support treatment goals and objectives. The BHT will ensure a safe environment.
All BHT duties will be performed in accordance with the hospital's established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as those of state and regulatory agencies.
