Who You Are: The Ideal candidate will have 2+ years relevant manufacturing experience operating machines. Glass industry experience preferred. What You Will Be Doing: As a Polisher (Machine Operator I), you will be responsible for operating a flat polisher/glass edging machine, as well as perform preventative maintenance on the machine. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned): Sets up and operates a single side straight-line glass-edging machine to polish glass or mirror edges. Starts machine and places glass or mirrors on conveyor of machine. Fabricates glass to the specification requested by the customer, and verifies program geometric dimension based off work orders received. Moves glass from machine and wipe edges to remove polishing compound. Requires the use of an overhead crane to lift and maneuver glass onto the machine. Follows work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understands and communicates paperwork and labels/picking list. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Transports materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process. Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications Strap glass to the carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving Daily inspections - Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc. Skills You Bring: MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following: Experience in a production or manufacturing environment; Glass industry is preferred (not required). HEAVY LIFTING - Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to push weights greater than 150lbs with a team. Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. Must be able to follow instructions from Supervisor, Plant Manager and/or Branch Manager. Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region in a non-climate controlled facility (Heat, Cold, humidity). Experience using hoists and cranes a plus. Manufacture products and components according to product specifications, drawings, BOM's, work orders and / or run schedules. Ensure product specification and product quality by following established procedures, SOP's, maintaining of proper settings, and quality standards. Verify product specification and product quality through inspection, observation, and measuring work pieces. Adjust machine / equipment performance to meet product specifications and quality standards. Utilize hand and power tools, cranes, and other material handling devices for manufacturing assistance. Fabricate and assemble sectional and rolling doors sections and component materials as required by the job. Qualifications Industrial manufacturing experience desired. Able to read and understand work instructions in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Education Preferred High School Diploma or GED. Summary/Objective The Pig Production Technician is a position specializing in the daily pork production activities within the farrowing and/or gestation departments. This position involves working in an agricultural environment with continuous hands-on interaction with livestock and regular structured routines. Essential Functions Ensure the highest standards of the humane treatment of animals. Follow the farm's bio-security protocols at all times. Monitor and assist with feeding systems and ensure animals are fed and watered according to respective protocols Maintain and monitor overall animal health, care and treatment of animals. Perform routine and seasonal vaccinations and injections as directed. Perform general facility cleaning, maintenance, and hygiene. Power wash following the farm's cleaning and disinfection processes, including to pre-check, performing the appropriate preparation, abiding by the safety protocols and ensuring the equipment is in effective and efficient working order.
