Nextdoor's Account Management team helps advertisers by connecting them with our hyper-local community of neighbors across the United States through our native advertising platform. We are seeking a results-oriented Account Manager to join the Advertising Solutions team and grow our advertising partnerships on Nextdoor. The Impact You'll Make
We empower our teams to own all aspects of bringing Nextdoor to life. As a Senior Engineering Manager on the Feed UX team, you will lead the team responsible for the home feed and the full content creation and lifecycle experience on Nextdoor. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical execution, and people leadership, with direct influence on one of the most critical surfaces for engagement across the company.
You will work together with your team to facilitate strong collaboration across product, design, engineering, and data science partners to translate product vision into clear technical direction and shipped outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership - Provide technical guidance towards the development and improvement across a broad area that includes data processing, APIs, attribution modeling, privacy, billing and other third party integrations
Team development - Build a high performing engineering organization and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through focus on each individual, team culture and the creation of sustainable processes that enable predictability and increase quality
Product strategy and execution - Partner and negotiate across engineering, product, legal, privacy and sales teams on strategy and execution
What You'll Bring To The Team
10+ years demonstrated experience building advertising or consumer products
Experience in advertising domain
3+ years in a people leadership role
Ability to build scalable engineering systems
Effective communication and cross-team collaboration
Ability to influence product strategy and achieve alignment with business goals
Experience coaching senior ICs
Experience managing remote teams
Intellectual honesty, genuine curiosity and a hunger for learning
Strong desire to serve local communities and neighbors worldwide
Bonus Points
Proven experience in data-driven product development and experimentation, consistently enhancing product performance.
Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create our total rewards package. Compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Compensation may also vary by geography.
The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $221,000 - $284,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role.
We expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With quarterly vesting, your first vest date will take place within 3 months of your start date.

Use analytics to inform decisions on org design, engagement, and performance

What You'll Bring To The Team
10+ years of experience as a People Business Partner preferred, or in a strategic Compensation or Talent role with proven success partnering with the business - ideally in a fast-paced, matrixed, or tech environment
Proven success as a proactive thought partner to C-suite executives, influencing strategy and driving organizational effectiveness across multiple functions
Strong analytical capabilities - able to interpret data, surface insights, and craft actionable, business-focused recommendations
Demonstrated AI fluency - leveraging emerging tools and data-driven approaches to enhance decision-making and scale impact to to reimagine how work gets done
Exceptional communication and executive presence; skilled at advising senior leaders with confidence, tact, and credibility
Experience leading or contributing to organizational design, change management, and talent planning initiatives
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and follow-through
