Supervisor, Observation, Day Surgery and CVIR Coding Department: UCHlth Outpatient Coding 2 FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Supervises daily staff activities for facility Observation, Day Surgery and CVIR Coding. This is a 100% remote position. Eligible out-of-state candidates may be considered. Responsibilities: Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Supports management initiatives. Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints. Serves as an internal liaison with other departments that have coding concerns/questions. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: * High School diploma or GED. * Coding-related certification from AHIMA or AAPC. * 2 years of relevant experience. Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience. We improve lives.
