The Division of Biomedical Sciences within the School of Medicine at the University of California Riverside is seeking to hire faculty at the rank of tenured Associate or Full Professor. We are looking for accomplished biomedical researchers with active funded biomedical research programs with applications to human health and disease in cancer, cardiovascular disease & vascular biology, computational biology, developmental biology, host-pathogen interactions, human physiology, toxicology or RNA biology. Preference will be given to those individuals examining the molecular mechanisms of human disease who are committed to a collaborative approach to research, and who are experts in their specific disease models. The successful candidates will have a primary appointment in the Division of Biomedical Sciences (biomed.ucr.edu).
The School of Medicine at UCR is the sixth University of California Medical School and serves the rapidly growing and dynamic Inland Southern California region by training a much-needed physician workforce and catalyzing innovations in research, education, and health care delivery that will improve the health of medically underserved populations. Laboratory and office space will be in the Gold-LEED School of Medicine research building. Areas of research within the Division include addiction, cancer biology, drug discovery, endocrinology, GI physiology & disorders, pulmonology, integrative immunology, host-pathogen interactions, neurodegeneration, neurodevelopmental disorders and RNA biology. School of Medicine has 7 research centers: Center for Cannabinoid Research, Center for Glial-Neuronal Interactions, Center for Healthy Communities, Center for Health Disparities Research, Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine, Center for RNA Biology & Medicine and Community Responsive and Engaged Equity Research (CREER) in Mental Health Center. The Division of Biomedical Sciences sponsors an innovative Ph.D. program that integrates the core medical curriculum with biomedical graduate training and research, as well as a vibrant Master's Degree and post-baccalaureate program. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the medical curriculum and actively participate in the Biomedical Sciences graduate program. Joint appointments in SOM Division of Clinical Sciences are available for candidates with active clinical practices.

About The Position
The Nuclear Operations Instructor develops, administers and maintains training programs to support the overall Qualification Programs established at Callaway Energy Center (CEC) and maintains full accreditation for the CEC for their specific discipline, ensuring that the CEC is in full compliance with the requirements for accredited programs under the National Academy for Nuclear Training. Instructors maximize student learning by providing quality training to maintain and improve worker knowledge and skills and improve plant performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Administer formal classroom training to include: Classroom, Laboratory/Simulator instruction, Preparation, administration, and grading of examinations, Evaluation of trainee performance, and Scheduling and coordinating training course presentations with appropriate department personnel
Support implementation of an effective and efficient Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) that meets or exceeds industry standards and is institutionalized into plant procedures and processes.
Support subject matter experts and vendors providing on-site and off-site training within the appropriate discipline area.
Monitor Condition Reports and industry trends for potential areas of weakness for Operating Experience applicability into lesson plans.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all training conducted in accordance with applicable procedures and criteria.
Actively participate in training programs to maintain individual qualifications.
Participate in in-plant activities and field time to maintain required licenses, certifications, and technical proficiency.
Provide refueling outage support for preparations, in-processing training, and/or filling assigned outage position.
Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) including responding to assigned ERO facilities within the required RERP response time.
Technical Level
Knowledge - Under guidance, develops fundamental understanding of the overall training program. Possesses working knowledge of subject matter in technical area. Learning training program standards.
Job Complexity - Intermediate skill level for administering training with significant technical area knowledge.
Supervision - Receives general guidance and supervision on work assignments with more detailed instruction on new assignments.
Leadership - Provides peer reviews and feedback.
Qualifications:
Nuclear Operations Instructor:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) or more years of relevant experience (training/adult education, heavy industrial or power plant, instructional design or curriculum development, etc.) is required. High school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience (as listed above) may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's/Associate's degree. Previous training instructor experience in a NANT accredited program preferred. Current/previous SRO NRC license or certification for CEC or a similar unit from an accredited institution is preferred.
Senior Nuclear Operations Instructor:
Current/previous RO or SRO NRC license or certification for CEC or a similar unit is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of relevant professional or journey level nuclear operations or nuclear operations training experience is required. Previous training instructor experience in a National Academy for Nuclear Training accredited program preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to supervise and motivate personnel, dependability and good human relations characteristics required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software preferred. Basic understanding of Computer Based Training preferred. Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems preferred. Qualified candidates are required to establish and maintain their permanent residence within sixty highway miles of the Callaway Energy Center. Security screening required for Callaway Energy Center access.
Working Conditions
The Nuclear Instructor works a standard day shift in an office/plant environment. Callouts and working rotating or Outage schedules may be required to support plant operations.
Additional Information
Candidates without current/previous RO or SRO NRC license or certification will be required to pursue SRO certification.

Compensation Range:
$82,400.00 - $158,900.00

**Job Summary**
This role will deliver and evaluate performance-based technical training for electrical meter training programs. Maintain technical subject expertise and a thorough understanding of current business processes related to the electric metering organization. The successful candidate will clarify and define work procedures and processes to align with regulatory initiatives and new technology. Candidates must have working experience with CT (Current Transformer) rated Electric Meters, Complex Electric Meters, and a thorough understanding of Vector Analysis. Job Summary
This role will deliver and evaluate performance-based technical training for electrical meter training programs. Maintain technical subject expertise and a thorough understanding of current business processes related to the electric metering organization. The successful candidate will clarify and define work procedures and processes to align with regulatory initiatives and new technology. Candidates must have working experience with CT (Current Transformer) rated Electric Meters, Complex Electric Meters, and a thorough understanding of Vector Analysis. This position will also investigate safety incidents which involve electric metering equipment and/or electric metering field work practices. Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
Instructor: 2+ years of experience plus a Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years of experience plus an Associate's Degree, or 6+ years of experience plus a High School Diploma/GED
Senior Instructor: 5+ years of experience plus a Bachelor's Degree, or 7+ years of experience plus an Associate's Degree, or 9+ years of experience plus a High School Diploma/GED
* Successful completion of Dominion Energy's Field Meter Worker Training Program and/or expert working knowledge and experience with CT (Current Transformer) rated Electric Meters, Complex Electric Meters, and a thorough understanding of Vector Analysis.
* In-depth subject matter expertise in technical area of instruction for electric metering
* Thorough understanding of business processes related to areas of instruction
* In depth knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design
* Proficiency in electric metering equipment operation and troubleshooting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing and in class instruction
* Excellent computer skills, problem-solving, time management, and coaching skills
* Ability to work well with minimal supervision
* Ability to analyze job tasks and develop training materials as well as train and lead others
* Ability to interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers
