Occidental is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Geologist in Houston, Texas under the general direction of the Lead Geoscientist, within 1PointFive Sequestration of Low Carbon Ventures. The position will support a new business within Oxy Low Carbon Ventures (LCV). The mission of the LCV group is to grow an externally focused low carbon services business utilizing Oxy’s significant experience in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), subsurface expertise, and to explore other low carbon service opportunities.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct geological modeling of saline aquifers for CO2 sequestration
- Perform quantitative geology
- Responsible for geological support of class VI well applications
- Create, maintain, and analyze geological maps and cross sections
- Perform risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies
- Assist with report writing
- Help create and integrate data collection plans involving well logs, core analysis, and other tests
- Implement and manage monitoring programs to detect leaks and track CO2 movement
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including supporting commercial discussions with landowners, midstream providers, and emitter organizations
- Generate logging programs and geo-progs
- Present to Oxy management and external stakeholders as required

The ERISA Attorney/Employee Benefits Counsel will be part of the Compensation and Benefits group based in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of ERISA, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant federal and state regulations.
- Work with Human Resources on benefits strategy, design, administration and compliance for a broad range of employee benefit plans including medical (active and retiree), severance, fringe benefit and various health and welfare plans.

* Review and approve the production schedule with production schedulers. Provide guidance and direction for in-period adjustments to the production schedule. Job Scope

Interview and hire appropriate outside counsel for both litigation and compliance matters and ensure compliance with Huntsman's Guidelines for Outside Counsel, including developing budgets for each litigation matter and managing outside counsel accordingly;
Actively manage and support outside counsel in the administration of each litigation matter, including liaising with business clients and Division Counsel and regular reporting to senior management;
Promptly report on litigation matters as required by supervisor, senior management and risk management, and prepare necessary reports as requested;
Manage legacy litigation matters, including becoming proficient in historical indemnity and insurance agreements arising out of Huntsman's past acquisitions and divestitures and ensure tender and notice compliance with each agreement;
Refine and further develop corporate wide systems, technologies, processes and procedures for the identification and cost-efficient management of litigation and litigation-related risk;
Respond to legal inquiries such as subpoenas or other regulatory demands;
Provide advice and support to Division Counsel and their commercial attorneys related to litigation risk management, dispute resolution, settlement strategy, indemnities and other contract concerns as requested;
Working with the Company's Chief Compliance Officer, drive all aspects of the global ethics & compliance program, including compliance policy development, training, education, and communication, and compliance-related investigations and reporting; and
Provide overall leadership, guidance, support and coordination throughout all aspects of the Company's global ethics & compliance program, including assisting businesses and functional groups in identifying appropriate remedial/preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence, understanding, analyzing and reporting on trends and best practices, and further developing the Company's compliance-based culture through the organization.

We are seeking a highly experienced, inspired leader to join our team and fill the position of Aviation Chief Pilot within our Aviation team based in Houston, Texas. The Aviation team operates from the Occidental corporate hanger located at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (KIAH).
The Chief Pilot is a multi-skilled key member of the Aviation Leadership Team. This position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations while providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and mentoring. Additional duties include planning, development, and execution of programs, policies, and procedures pertaining to the personnel, equipment, and facilities of Occidental Aviation. The Chief Pilot will effectively communicate with Company executives and business units to support travel requirements and assigned projects. The Chief Pilot will foster positivity amongst the team through leadership while continuously demonstrating courage and emotional intelligence. Additionally, the Chief Pilot will serve as Captain on Company aircraft demonstrating the standard of professionalism that is to be expected from the entire organization.

Execute and manage the HR Performance Management System for each team member by developing and implementing their annual performance and development goals. The process includes providing individual coaching and performance reviews to develop talent.

Manages Aviation related projects, development, implementation, communication, and is responsible for various on-time deliverables.

Ensures that all aircraft are airworthy, and all required regulatory documentation is current and on board the aircraft.
The efficient scheduling of pilots for training, testing, evaluation, crew duty assignments, and assuring required documents are complete and retained in the crewmembers’ records as required by the CFR’s and/or Company policy and procedures.
Remains actively engaged in the management of the department’s FAA Part 125 operation.
Assume responsibilities delegated by the FAA Part 125 Director of Operations.
Ensuring compliance with duty and flight time limitations.
Developing and maintaining in-house and contracted training and testing programs for flight crewmembers.
Monitoring flight crewmembers’ currency as it pertains to regulatory recency of experience requirements.
Recommends and maintains departmental procedures and standards for flight operations. Objective is to ensure maximum safety of employees, passengers, and equipment.
Prepares tactical plans and implements these plans as requested and/or approved by the Director of Aviation.
Assists in the preparation and administration of annual operating budgets for the respective area of operations. Processes and approves time sheets, expense reports, purchase orders, and invoices as assigned by the Director of Aviation.
Recommends the incorporation of new equipment and procedures into the department to optimize safe and effective operations.
Recommends pilot selection, promotion, transfer, appraisal, salary administration, and termination. Plans and manages for most effective utilization of human resources through training, job assignments, talent development, and succession planning.
Keeps abreast of industry developments to recommend new policies, equipment, and techniques to optimize safe and effective operations.
Maintains proficiency in and assumes command of selected types of aircraft operated by Occidental Aviation.
Remains an active member of the Aviation Incident Management Team.
When absent, effectively delegates duties to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Completes any additional assignments requested by management.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
ATP rating.
Three years of proven aviation leadership experience.
Five years of Business/Corporate Aviation experience.
Operational experience in domestic and international flight operations.
FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
English proficient.
