Supervisor Contracts Management provides contract management support to the Midstream & Marketing segment of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
The Midstream & Marketing segment purchases, markets, gathers, processes, transports and stores crude oil, condensate, NGL, natural gas, and power. The segment also trades around its assets, including transportation and storage capacity, and invests in entities that conduct similar activities.
This role reports to the Director Regulatory Compliance for the Midstream & Marketing segment of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
Primary Responsibilities
* Negotiate and document natural gas, NGL, and power master agreements with counterparties.
* Coordinate the negotiation and documentation of natural gas, NGL, and power purchase/sale transactions, pipeline and storage agreements, broker and give-up agreements, confidentiality agreements, as well as intercompany and agency agreements.
* Coordinate contract issues with Credit, Commercial and Legal departments.
* Communicate and interact with traders, mid-office, and other corporate stakeholders to facilitate contract negotiation and administration.
* Work closely with Commercial team to prioritize and manage contract expectations.
* Process contracts and related documents in the document retention system.
* Administer agreements and work with other departments to effectuate contract lifecycle events such as name changes, assignments, and various amendments.
* Generate contract-related correspondence.
* Supervise and direct the duties of the natural gas, NGL, and power contract administration team.
* Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
* Other duties as required, including periodic review of internal contract forms and processes.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 8 years of experience in energy marketing/trading of natural gas, power, and/or NGLs.
* Demonstrated ability to research contract issues in various trading systems and be able to communicate with external and internal personnel to resolve.
* Experience with mid-office processes and contracts management systems.
* Familiarity with terms and conditions generally utilized for the purchase and sale of natural gas and/or natural gas liquids in domestic markets (including NAESBs, ISDAs, Master Netting Agreements, and NGL general terms and conditions).
* Self-starter, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Energy Trading Sr Advisor - Midstream

Specific Responsibilities The Senior Advisor Energy Trading - Midstream supports all commercial activities and contracts related to the gathering, processing, and treating of natural gas in the Permian Basin and the sale of associated natural gas liquids. This position will work closely with Apache's Asset teams to develop, interpret, and communicate development plans and forecasts, as well as serve as liaison with Apache's midstream counterparties.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party midstream providers to ensure proper execution of Apache's production strategies, including on-time well connects and take-away requirements;
* Evaluate opportunities, model financials, and negotiate expiring/new contracts for midstream services and natural gas liquid sales;
* Lead and manage weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly conference calls, meetings, and planning session with internal and external stakeholders with emphasis on infrastructure timing, maintenance schedules, and capacity constraints;
* Represent the Midstream group in cross-functional efforts including but not limited to audits, facility site planning and development, monthly settlement, recurring operations/financial review, etc.;
* Assist Business Development, Corporate Reserves, and Planning teams, as necessary and requested, in the commercial evaluation of assets for reporting, acquisitions, divestitures, and trades;
* Review physical assets, both third party and internal, to determine ways to optimize Apache's production and netbacks;

Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's and/or Associates degree in Energy, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
* 10+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 7 years recent experience in a commercial midstream, oil or natural gas role;
* Must have thorough knowledge of US onshore upstream and midstream businesses;
* Strong understanding of midstream financials;
* Strong negotiation skills;
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
* Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects at the same time;
* Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skill set;
* Ability to work in both a team and individual contributor setting;
