Responsibilities
Our OccupationalTherapists/OTs help patients who have debilitating conditions improve the functions of performing everyday tasks in the home. OccupationalTherapists/OTs use treatments to develop the daily living skills of their patients and the basic motor functions of patients, as well as to compensate for any loss of function that patient may be experiencing. OccupationalTherapists/OTs administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and teach the family and other members of the health care team. These services are performed by OccupationalTherapists/OTs in accordance with the physicians' orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
Qualifications
OccupationalTherapists/OTs must meet the following requirements:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy and licensed as an OccupationalTherapist/OT in the state in which he/she currently practices.
A minimum of one-year experience is preferred, but can be less with Regional Vice Presidentand/or Regional Director of Therapy Servicesapproval based on prior experience setting.
Medicare home health experience is preferred.

We serve the beautiful state of Colorado. All our therapists have the freedom to decide the specific locations within the State of Colorado which they serve, as well as the days and hours they work. We do offer telemedicine options for families under specific circumstances. All employees must be located in the State of Colorado upon start date. This position has the potential to start as part time/after school hours and build to full time.
✨ What You'll Do:
✅ Perform evaluations and develop fun, engaging, and personalized treatment plans
✅ Work closely with families and caregivers to create a supportive environment
✅ Utilize play-based therapy to enhance motor skills and functional movement
✅ Write letters of medical necessity for durable medical equipment
✅ Collaborate with a team of passionate healthcare professionals with clear and timely communication - including other therapists, assistants, service coordinators, translators, and office administrators
✅ Refer clients to resources as necessary, including learning about resources and assisting clients to be successful accessing appropriate resources
✅ Maintain HIPAA compliance with all communication
✅ Attend mandatory staff meetings and other optional social gatherings to stay up to date on all policies and procedures

Documentation Requirements
o Evaluations/notes/discharges are completed within 2 days of a visit
o Missed visit notes must be completed weekly according to the script
o All notes made by PTAs are co-signed by a supervising PT
License Requirements
Current DORA license
Complete state mandated continuing education as required by DORA
Report to OASIS any DUI, misdemeanor, felony convictions or accusations
Maintain CPR licensure

Position Summary:
Evaluates and treats patients and communicates with patients, clients, and team members. Maintains documentation of services in the medical record. Conducts in-services and training for patients, clients, and team members on an ongoing basis in restorative techniques. Consistently attends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled paid time off.
Maintains productivity standard as determined by supervisor and clinical needs.
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
Evaluate patients based upon the physician referral/orders.
Develop effective treatment plans with functional, goal-based outcomes and ensure approval /orders for services from referring physician.
Treat patients according to treatment plan.
Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a valid state license or eligibility to obtain license in state where services are provided.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
